Percy Sackey (born 10 September 1993) is a Ghanaian teacher at Obo-Kwahu in the Eastern region of Ghana who became famous on Instagram for using dance as a medium to inspire his pupils. He is a songwriter, a singer, performer and an actor. [1] [2]
Sackey had his high school education at Mpraeso Senior High School in Kwahu. While in high school he was the entertainment prefect. He proceeded to Abetifi Teachers Training College in Kwahu where he had his teacher trainee education. [2]
Sackey's video of him dancing with his students broke social media and earned him many likes and followers and article by BBC. He uses dance as a medium to encourage his pupils to be confident and build on their talent. [3] [4]

Kwahu is an area and group of people that live in Ghana and are part of the Twi-speaking Akan group. The Ridge Church School is an independent and parochial co-educational preparatory day school in Accra, Ghana. Situated between the Gamel Abdul Nasser Avenue and Guinea Bissau Road and opposite the Efua Sutherland Children's Park, it was founded by the Accra Ridge Church in 1957, the year of Ghana's independence from the United Kingdom. The Ridge Church School is located on the premises of the church. It was the first wholly private basic school to be established in modern Ghana. The Accra Ridge Church was the first international solely English-speaking Protestant church in Ghana. The school is inter-denominational Christian, holding ties to the Anglican, Methodist and Presbyterian churches, that assign chaplains to both the church and school. Friedrich Augustus Louis Ramseyer also Fritz Ramseyer was a Swiss-born Basel missionary, who was captured by the Asante in 1869 in colonial Ghana, together with his wife Rosa Louise Ramseyer, Basel mission technical staff, Johannes Kühne and French trader, Marie-Joseph Bonnat. Ramseyer was later released in 1874 and pioneered the Christian mission in Kumasi and the rest of Asante. Additionally, he spearheaded the planting of churches in Abetifi. Apart from his evangelism, Ramseyer was instrumental in the expansion of opportunities in the fields of education, artisan industry training, land acquisition for building design and manpower development in the areas he lived and worked in.

Richard Appiah Akoto, is a Ghanaian educationist at Betenase M/A Junior High School who received attention for his innovative approach for teaching students Information and Communications Technology (ICT) without a computer. A photo he shared of himself on Facebook sketching the features of Microsoft Word on a blackboard to teach students in his class went viral highlighting issues with the Ghanaian educational system. Since the event, Akoto's school have been given financial and technology support, particularly from Microsoft, and from others around the world. Akoto has spoken at global conferences on the challenges teachers face teaching ICT in the Ghanaian educational system.
Fodoa Community Day Senior High School also known as FOSEC is a public senior high school located in Kwahu West Municipal, in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Fodoa Community Day Senior High School was commissioned on Wednesday, 26 October 2016. The school has been in existence for nearly seven years now. Since its inception, the school has been a purely day school and single track with no boarding facilities. However, there are private hostel facility that accommodates most of the students of the school: one boys' hotel and one girls' hostel. The school is located along the Kumasi-Accra high way about 34 km from Nkawkaw. The school is one of the centers for BECE in the Kwahu West Municipal
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom, all secondary education examinations due to be held in 2020 were cancelled. As a result, an alternative method had to be designed and implemented at short notice to determine the qualification grades to be awarded to students for that year. A standardisation algorithm was produced in June 2020 by the regulator Ofqual in England, Qualifications Wales in Wales, Scottish Qualifications Authority in Scotland, and CCEA in Northern Ireland. The algorithm was designed to combat grade inflation, and was to be used to moderate the existing but unpublished centre-assessed grades for A-Level and GCSE students. After the A-Level grades were issued, and after criticism, Ofqual, with the support of HM Government, withdrew these grades. It issued all students the Centre Assessed Grades (CAGs), which had been produced by teachers as part of the process. The same ruling was applied to the awarding of GCSE grades, just a few days before they were issued: CAG-based grades were the ones released on results day.
The Curriculum for Wales is the curriculum which is being introduced in state-funded education in Wales for pupils aged three to sixteen years. The curriculum's rollout began in 2022. As of September 2023, it is statutorily required for all pupils apart from those in school years 9, 10 and 11. The curriculum has been developed based on a report commissioned in 2014. Amongst other changes, it gives schools greater autonomy over what they teach children. Views on the curriculum have been varied.
