Perfect Commando (also known as Californian Commando; Finnish : Kalifornian kommando) is a Finnish television comedy series that premiered on Elisa Viihde network on 13 February 2020. It is directed by Jalmari Helander, and stars Kian Lawley and Katherine Hughes. [1] [2] [3]
Perfect Commando tells the story of Vantaa "Van" Hamilton (Lawley), who travels from California to his mother's homeland Finland with his girlfriend Rachel (Hughes), but their paths differ in Helsinki Airport due to a system error related to Van's background, and Van suddenly finds himself in the Finnish Defence Forces training as a commando into the middle of nowhere, while Rachel ends up living in Helsinki with Van's Finnish cousin who maintains a rap band with friends.
The series is partly spoken in English and partly in Finnish. [1] [2] The army scenes of the series are mainly filmed in the former garrison of Keuruu, Finland. [3] [4] [5]

Gargoyles the Movie: The Heroes Awaken is a 1995 animated fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Television Animation. The film is actually the five-episode pilot ("Awakening") of the animated television series Gargoyles edited into one long feature film, being roughly 92 minutes in length. As a result, numerous scenes from the original broadcast episodes were cut due to time constraints. In addition, a number of scenes were also moved around and some dialogue was changed. The episodes were produced and aired in 1994, and the film was released to laserdisc and VHS in February 1995 and featured an interactive VHS/LD board game. The pilot episodes have been released to DVD as part of Gargoyles: Season 1.
Talent Suomi is the Finnish version of the Got Talent format of the program and airs on Nelonen. The idea behind the programme is to search for the most talented and promising entertainment. Talent contest took off for the first time in Finland at the end of September 2007. The programme was originally hosted by Susanna Laine and Martin Coulter and had contemporary magazine editor Katja Ståhl, television presenter and film director Timo Koivusalo, as well as the Finnish National Ballet dancer and choreographer Sami Saikkonen as judges. Mister 8 is a Finnish eight-part comedy drama series directed by Teemu Nikki and written by Vesa Virtanen and Nikki and based on an idea by Nikki and Jani Pösö. All episodes were released on Elisa Viihde Viaplay on 31 January 2021. The series is about Maria, who has seven dates – one for each day of the week, until the eight man, Juho, affects her relationship. Juho wants Maria to himself and tries to get the other men out of the arrangement.
