Perry B. Clark (born September 30,1957) is an American politician who served as a member of the Kentucky Senate for the 37th district from 2006 to 2021. [1] Clark also served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1995 to 2006,resigning to run for the Kentucky Senate special election in the 37th District.
He has been a member of several committees,including the Task Force on Economic Development and the Administrative Regulation Review Subcommittee. [2]
Perry Clark was first elected to the house in 1994,succeeded his father Paul Clark. [3] He resigned his seat in the house in order to run for a special election to the senate. The seat had been vacant since January 2005 when the candidate who won the election was determined to be ineligible to serve. [4] He retired from the senate in 2020. [5]

Thelma Stovall,who served as lieutenant governor with him,was the first woman to be elected lieutenant governor of Kentucky.
Ronald Edward Lewis is an American retired politician who was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives from 1994 to 2009,having represented the 2nd congressional district of Kentucky.
Ernest Lee Fletcher is an American physician and politician who was the 60th governor of Kentucky from 2003 to 2007. He previously served three consecutive terms in the United States House of Representatives before resigning after being elected governor. A member of the Republican Party,Fletcher was a family practice physician and a Baptist lay minister and is the second physician to be elected Governor of Kentucky;the first was Luke P. Blackburn in 1879. He was also the first Republican governor of Kentucky since Louie Nunn left office in 1971.

On May 17,2011,Williams secured the Republican nomination over Tea Party movement-backed Phil Moffet. He considered running for Agriculture Commissioner of Kentucky in the 2015 elections but ultimately did not run. Senator Parrett was elected by the Senate Democratic Caucus as Minority Caucus Whip on August 23,2017. Parrett earned a BS in agricultural economics from University of Kentucky. Instead of running for a fourth term in the Kentucky Senate in 2022,Parrett made the decision to retire. Consequently,the 10th district had no incumbent running and facing no opponent in the general election,the open seat was won by former Elizabethtown City Councilman,Matthew Deneen.

A graduate of Harvard Law School,Baker also served as a judge advocate general in the Kentucky Air National Guard for 20 years.
The 2019 Kentucky gubernatorial election took place on November 5,2019,to elect the governor and lieutenant governor of Kentucky. The Democratic nominee,Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear,defeated Republican incumbent Matt Bevin by just over 5,000 votes,or 0.37%,making this the closest gubernatorial election in Kentucky since 1899 by total votes,and the closest since 1915 by percentage. It was also the closest race of the 2019 gubernatorial election cycle.

Walter "Doc" Blevins Jr. is an American politician from Kentucky who was the Judge/Executive of Rowan County,a member of the Kentucky Senate,and a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives. Blevins was first elected to the house in 1981,defeating incumbent Democratic representative Woody May for renomination. Blevins was elected to the senate in a January 1992 special election following the resignation of May,who had been elected to the senate in 1983.
