Persepolis Basketball Club is an Iranian basketball club based in Tehran, Iran. [1] In May 2006, the team did poorly in the Iranian Basketball Super League and was under financial pressure. [2]

Persepolis Football Club is an Iranian professional football club based in Tehran that competes in the Persian Gulf Pro League. Persepolis F.C. is the football club of the multisport Persepolis Athletic and Cultural Club. The club was owned by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports up to April 2024. However, due to Asian Football Confederation licensing regulations , the club's ownership is now transferred to a consortium of 6 Iranian banks with a collective share of 85%. Ten percent of the club's share is also publicly available on Tehran Stock Exchange.

He is considered one of the most memorable players in history of Tehran derby, the rivalry between Persepolis and Esteghlal; as he received a punch from rival goalkeeper Parviz Boroumand in the famous derby played in 2000.
