Aranda de Duero is a city and municipality, capital of the Ribera del Duero comarca, in the south of the province of Burgos, in Castile and León, Spain. It has a population of roughly 33,000 people and lies on the River Duero. The closest international airport is Madrid Barajas.
Ribera del Duero is a Spanish Denominación de Origen Protegida (DOP) located in the country's northern plateau and is one of eleven 'quality wine' regions within the autonomous community of Castile and León. It is also one of several recognised wine-producing regions to be found along the course of the Duero river.

It covers an area of 18,75 km2, has a population of 134 inhabitants, yielding a density of 6,93 inhabitants/km2. It belongs to the Valle del Cuco and the county of Campo de Peñafiel. The municipalities of San Llorente, Corrales de Duero, Valdearcos de la Vega, and Bocos de Duero also belong to the Valle del Cuco. Roturas, that borders north to Curiel De Duero, historically also belonged to Curiel, but has in modern times not been included into the Valle del Cuco county. In 1900, Curiel had its peak of 590 inhabitants.
Dominio de Pingus is a Spanish winery located in Quintanilla de Onésimo in the Province of Valladolid with vineyards in La Horra area of the Ribera del Duero region. The estate's flagship wine, Pingus, is considered a "cult wine", sold at extremely high prices while remaining very inaccessible, and commands an average price of $811 per bottle.

Héctor Pesquera is a former Superintendent of the Puerto Rico Police and the Puerto Rico Commissioner of Safety and Public Protection. Graduated at Colegio San José High School. In 1968 he earned a bachelor's degree in business and financial administration from the University of Puerto Rico. Pesquera served for 27 years in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) until his retirement in 2003. He then served as Coordinator for the United States Department of Homeland Security at the Broward County Sheriff's Office from 2003 to 2008, and as Assistant Director of Safety Affairs of the Port of Miami from 2008 to 2012. In 2012, he was named chief of Puerto Rico's police. In an interview with NPR in early 2013, Pesquera stated that Puerto Rico needed more help from the United States in its war against criminals, stating the proverbial "out of sight, out of mind" as it related to how people on the mainland seemed to be out of touch with the issues on the Island. He resigned on November 30, 2013.

The department was formed on April 10, 2017, when former governor Ricardo Rosselló signed the law to unify all safety agencies. All agencies are bureaus of the department.
Bodegas Alejandro Fernández is a Spanish wine company consisting of four wineries (bodegas). Alejandro Fernandez first founded Pesquera Bodega in Ribera del Duero in 1972. Ribera del Duero was listed at denominación de origen status in 1982 largely as a result of his efforts to practice quality winemaking in the region, which was traditionally planted to sugarbeet and grain.
The Secretary of Public Safety of Puerto Rico leads the Department of Public Safety, with its agencies, in all matters of law enforcement and emergency response. The position and department was formed in April 2017, when Governor Ricardo Rosselló signed into law the unification of the emergency service agencies in Puerto Rico. The secretary overlooks the actions of the agencies but does not have direct control over them.
