Peter Horachek

Peter Horachek (born January 26, 1960) is currently an assistant coach for the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL). Horachek was previously a long-time assistant coach for the Nashville Predators, as well as the interim head coach of the Florida Panthers and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Horachek played junior hockey with the Oshawa Generals. Although he was not selected in an NHL Entry Draft, he signed a minor league contract with the Rochester Americans and had a long career in the American Hockey League (AHL) and International Hockey League (IHL). He later played with the Flint Generals, where he scored a career-high 86 points in 1984, and with the Flint Spirits. He began his coaching career when he was promoted to serve as an assistant during his final campaign with the Spirits.

Horachek started the 2013–14 season as head coach of the San Antonio Rampage, the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers. [1] On November 8, 2013, he was named the Panthers' interim head coach, replacing Kevin Dineen. [2] On April 29, 2014, Panthers general manager Dale Tallon announced the team had fired Horachek, who would not remain with the organization. [3]

Horachek was appointed as an assistant coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs on July 11, 2014, and named him the interim head coach of the team on January 7, 2015, after Randy Carlyle was fired from the position. [4] On January 9, 2015, Horachek was named head coach of Toronto for the remainder of the 2014–15 season. Under his direction, Toronto recorded a 9–28–5 record in 42 games as the team struggled throughout the second half of the season, resulting in a 15th-place finish in the Eastern Conference. [5] Horachek was fired on April 12, 2015, one day after the 2014–15 regular season ended, along with general manager Dave Nonis, assistant coaches Steve Spott and Chris Denis and goaltending coach Rick St. Croix. [6]

Dallas Franklin Eakins is an American-Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. He is the head coach of the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously served as the head coach of the Edmonton Oilers of the NHL.

David M. Nonis is a Canadian former ice hockey defenceman. He is a special assignment scout for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL) and serves as a consultant to the team's general manager, Bob Murray.

Nicknamed "Chief", Berube played 17 seasons in the NHL for the Philadelphia Flyers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, Washington Capitals and New York Islanders. Gregory Scott Gilbert is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. Gilbert played 15 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) before retiring to become a coach. Gilbert is a former head coach of the Calgary Flames.

Rick St. Croix

Richard St. Croix is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He was formerly one of the assistant coaches of the NHL Toronto Maple Leafs. Jack C. Capuano Jr. is an American ice hockey coach and former player. He is a former head coach of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is currently an associate coach for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL). Capuano played as a defenseman and spent parts of three seasons in the NHL in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He is the brother of former NHL hockey player Dave Capuano.

He has previously worked as an assistant coach for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the head coach of the Ontario Hockey League, the Kitchener Rangers. Spott became a junior hockey coach in 1994, eventually moving to the OHL in 1997. He became a head coach in the OHL with the Kitchener Rangers when Peter DeBoer left the Rangers for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League in 2008. On July 3, 2013, he was announced as the head coach of the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League after the departure of former head coach Dallas Eakins. He would be promoted to the Maple Leafs as an assistant coach due to his success at leading the Marlies to the AHL's Western Conference Finals.

The 2014–15 Toronto Maple Leafs season was the 98th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on November 22, 1917. This was the second year of the new alignment and schedule format. Toronto again played every team in their own division at least four times, every team in the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference three times, and every team from the Western Conference twice. To complete the 82-game schedule, they played both Ottawa and Detroit five times.

Kyle Dubas Hockey executive

Kyle Dubas is a Canadian ice hockey executive who is currently the general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL). Dubas spent his youth in various roles with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League, including a term as the team's general manager after graduating from university. He attended Brock University and graduated with a degree in Sports Management, and started his career by briefly acting as a player agent. Dubas joined the Maple Leafs organization as an assistant general manager in 2014, and played a key role in developing the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League (AHL). In 2018, the Marlies captured the Calder Cup as AHL Champions. At the time of his hire, Dubas was the second youngest general manager in NHL history, behind John Chayka of the Arizona Coyotes.

The 2015–16 Toronto Maple Leafs season was the 99th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on November 22, 1917. The season officially began its regular games on October 7, 2015, with a 3–1 loss against the Montreal Canadiens.
