Peter Lawler (born 25 April 1941) is a British sprint canoer who competed from the mid-1960s to the early 1970s. He was eliminated in the semifinals of the K-4 1000 m event at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Four years later in Mexico City, Lawler was eliminated in the semifinals of the K-2 1000 m event. At his last Summer Olympics in Munich, he was eliminated in the repechage round of the K-4 1000 m event. [1]

At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he was eliminated in the semi-finals of the K-1 200 m event, but reached the final of the K-4 1000 m event, finishing in fifth. That year, he was also part of the winning team the K-4 1000 m at the European Championships.
Henriette Engel Hansen is a world champion Danish sprint canoer and marathon canoeist. She and team-mate Emma Aastrand Jørgensen won the K-2 1000 m title at the 2014 World Championships.
