Peter Simako Otlaadisang Mmusi (born 16 May 1929, [1] died October 1994) [2] was the Vice-President of Botswana from 3 January 1983 until 1992. He also served as the Minister of Finance from 1980 to 1989, [3] and as the Minister of Local Government and Lands. [1] He was born in Mmankgodi in the Kweneng District.
He resigned following a Presidential Commission which identified him as taking part in illegal land dealings outside Gaborone. [4]
Festus Gontebanye Mogae is a Botswana politician and economist who served as the third President of Botswana from 1998 to 2008. Edison Setlhomo K. Masisi was a politician and diplomat in Botswana and he is the father of the current President of Botswana,Mokgweetsi Masisi. After qualifying as a teacher,he taught at Moshupa (1950-1964),which he served as head teacher (1957-1964). In 1964,he resigned to contest the Moshupa seat on the BDP ticket.
