Stokes County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2010 census, the population was 47,401. Its county seat is Danbury.

Geographically, Peters Creek Township occupies 42.37 square miles (109.7km2) in northern Stokes County. The township's northern border is with the state of Virginia.
