Peärls Before Swïne Experience

Pearls Before Swine Experience are an ensemble devoted to contemporary classical music. Their repertoire consists of short pieces (around 5 min) written by contemporary composers from Sweden and abroad. Their home stage is the culture club SEKT. They have been awarded the "Kristallpriset" contemporary music prize and The Society of Swedish Composers' Interpreter prize.

Annie Gosfield

Annie Gosfield is a composer based in New York who works on the boundaries between notated and improvised music, electronic and acoustic sounds, refined timbres and noise. She composes for others and performs with her own group, taking her music on a path through festivals, factories, clubs, art spaces, and concert halls. Much of her work combines acoustic instruments with electronic sounds, incorporating unusual sources such as satellite sounds, machine sounds, detuned or out of tune samples and industrial noises. Her work often contains improvisation and frequently uses extended techniques and/or altered musical instruments. She won a 2012 Berlin Prize.

Åke Parmerud is a Swedish composer, musician, and multimedia artist noted for his acoustic and electronic works, which have been performed mostly in Europe, Mexico, and Canada. He is also noted for the design of stage and acoustics as well as interactive media and software. He has received recognition for his work from a number of festivals in Europe and has won two Swedish Grammis awards. He has been a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music since 1998.

Nordic Music Days is the oldest ongoing collaboration among the Nordic countries: a festival for new Nordic music that was founded in 1888 and had its origins in existing musical collaboration. It is one of the oldest and best respected festivals for contemporary classical music in the world. The festival is unique in the respect that it is arranged by the composers themselves. Each year one of members, the national societies of composers, arranges the festival on behalf of the Council of Nordic Composers.

Sound of Stockholm is an annual Swedish festival for contemporary classical music. The festival is based in Stockholm and was initiated by the composers Henrik Strindberg and Peter Lindroth during the 50th anniversary of the chamber music society "Samtida Musik". The festival is organised by some of Sweden's most prominent institutions for contemporary music including The House of Culture, Fylkingen, Samtida Musik, Kroumata, and Stockholm Saxophone Quartet. The festival first took place in 2010, when 1,400 people attended the 21 concerts and seminars.

The Gotland School of Music Composition is a folk high school for musical composition based in Visby, Gotland. The school offers two educational programs Course in Composition and Composition - Contemporary.

Norrbotten NEO is a Swedish chamber ensemble dedicated to contemporary classical music. The ensemble was formed 2007 and is based in the concert hall Studio Acusticum in Piteå, Sweden. NEO regularly collaborates with contemporary composers and commission new works on a yearly basis. The repertoire includes music by composers like Henrik Strindberg and Per Mårtensson. The ensemble receives financial support from "The Swedish Arts Council", "Norrbotten county council" as well as "Luleå- and Piteå municipality". The ensemble have toured both in Sweden and abroad.

Per Mårtensson is a Swedish composer and teacher. He is artistic director and teaches composition at The Gotland School of Music Composition. In 1998 he was given membership in The Society of Swedish Composers. Mårtenssons catalog contains mainly orchestral and chamber music. He has composed music for ensembles such as Norrbotten NEO, Sonanza and Pearls Before Swine Experience. His flute concerto was awarded the Christ Johnson-price prize—the most prestigious composition price in Sweden.

Lina Nyberg is a Swedish jazz singer and composer. She has composed works for string quartet, big band, and symphony orchestra. She is married to the Swedish jazz clarinettist and saxophonist Fredrik Ljungkvist.

Lennart Åberg Swedish jazz musician and composer (born 1942)

Lennart Åberg is a Swedish jazz musician (saxophone) and composer. In 1972, he founded Rena Rama, a Swedish jazz fusion group. He also taught jazz history at the Royal College of Music, Stockholm. He was a member of composer George Russell's ensemble in the 1980s along with Jon Christensen, Arild Andersen and Jan Garbarek, appearing on "The Essence of George Russell". In 2002, he received the Djangodor in the Contemporary Star of Jazz category. In addition to jazz Aberg also works in musical styles from India, Africa and Eastern Europe, as well as contemporary music.

Ingrid Margareta Tobiasson is a Swedish mezzo-soprano opera singer. Her principal roles in an extremely versatile career include the title role in Bizet's Carmen and Elisabetta in Donizetti's Maria Stuarda.
