The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) is a major public transportation agency based in Houston, Texas, United States. It operates bus, light rail, bus rapid transit, HOV and HOT lanes, and paratransit service in the city as well as most of Harris County. It also operates bus service to two cities in Fort Bend County, and to Conroe in Montgomery County. The Metro headquarters are in the Lee P. Brown Administration Building in Downtown Houston. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 77,189,800, or about 244,300 per weekday as of the second quarter of 2024.

The routes connect major regional hubs throughout 53 cities in three counties in the Puget Sound region. It provides bus service between Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, and Security-Widefield. There are currently thirty-four local routes. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 2,991,300, or about 9,200 per weekday as of the second quarter of 2024.
The Metropolitan (METRA) Transit System is the primary provider of mass transportation in Muscogee County, Georgia, United States. The agency is the successor to the Columbus Transportation Company, a privately owned bus company founded in 1924 that had operated as the primary bus service in Columbus and Phenix City. In 1967, the city of Columbus purchased the Columbus Transportation Company and its assets after the company's bus services became unprofitable, with the city renaming the now public entity the Columbus Transportation System. In 1978, METRA assumed certain bus routes to nearby Fort Benning, which had been operated by Howard Bus Lines, a privately owned bus and cab company that ceased operations and filed for bankruptcy in 1978. Currently, ten routes serve the city, providing service Monday through Saturday.
