Phenyo Butale is a Motswana politician and the current Minister of International Relations of Botswana. He served as Member of Parliament of Botswana until 2019 under the Alliance for Progressives (AP). He is also communication specialist,broadcaster,researcher and academic. [1] [2]
Butale became an MP in the Parliament of Botswana in 2014. Before his election,he was involved in Media fraternity. Prior to joining politics,Butale worked in the civil society as Country Director for the Media Institute of Southern Africa - Botswana Chapter,and later as executive director of Freedom of Expression Institute in Johannesburg. In November 2024,he was appointed MInister of International Affairs in the cabinet of Duma Boko.
Butale holds a PhD from the Stellenbosch University. [3]

After her graduation,Dow opened the first all-woman law firm in Botswana and in 1997 became the first woman to be appointed as a judge to the country's High Court.
Phandu Tombola Chaka Skelemani is a Motswana politician who is the former speaker of the National Assembly of Botswana having served from 2018 to 2024. He served in the government of Botswana as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2008 to 2014. A member of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP),Skelemani was a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of Botswana,a position he vacated following the defeat of the Botswana Democratic Party in November 2024,and a member of the Pan-African Parliament from Botswana,and he served as Attorney-General of Botswana from 1992 to 2003.
