Phi is a large language model, developed by Microsoft. [1] Phi-4 was released on 12 December 2024. [2]

Phi is considered to be Microsoft's push into smaller large language models. [1] Phi-3-mini contains 3.8 billion parameters. [3] Phi-3-mini has been compared to as Openai's GPT-3.5 in terms of capability. [4]
