Philip David Lang (born December 16,1929) was an American politician who was a member of the Oregon House of Representatives. [1]
Lang was born in Portland in 1929 and served from 1961 to 1979,including a stint as speaker of the house from 1975 to 1978. He was an insurance company executive. [2] He also served in the United States Air Force and as a trooper with the Oregon State Police upon his graduation from Lewis and Clark College.
Lang is a former chairman of the Oregon Liquor Control Commission and of the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association. [3] [4]

Sir Philip Woolcott Game,was a British Royal Air Force commander,who later served as Governor of New South Wales and Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis (London). Born in Surrey in 1876,Game was educated at Charterhouse School and entered the military at Royal Military Academy Woolwich,gaining his commission in 1895. Serving with the Royal Artillery,Game saw action in the Second Boer War and the First World War. After serving with distinction and bravery,Game transferred to the Royal Flying Corps in early 1916 serving as General Trenchard's chief staff officer. Finishing the War as an acting major-general,Game remained in the Royal Air Force after the close of hostilities. Notably he served as Air Officer Commanding RAF India and Air Member for Personnel. He retired from the military in 1929,having reached the rank of air vice-marshal.
James Douglas McKay was an American businessman and politician from the U.S. state of Oregon. He served in World War I before going into business,where he was most successful as a car dealership owner in Salem. A Republican,he served as a city councilor and mayor of Salem before election to the Oregon State Senate. McKay served four terms in the state senate,also served stateside with the rank of major in the U.S. Army during World War II,and was then elected as the twenty-fifth governor of Oregon in 1948. He left that office before the end of his term when he was selected as the thirty-fifth U.S. Secretary of the Interior during the Eisenhower administration.

The Dime Store was a short-lived restaurant in Portland,Oregon,in the United States. It was established by Dayna McErlean,with additional conceptual development from Jeremy Larter. The restaurant opened in 2014,replacing Leo's Non-Smoking Coffee Shop,a diner which had operated for thirty years. The Dime Store's menu included diner classics such as burgers and milkshakes,along with all-day breakfast and weekend brunch specials. Despite receiving a positive critical reception,the restaurant closed in November 2015.
The 2016 OregonSecretary of State election was held on November 8,2016,to elect the Oregon Secretary of State. Incumbent Democratic Secretary of State Jeanne Atkins declined to seek election;she was appointed in March 2015 following Kate Brown's ascension to the governorship.
