Phil Reynolds is a British electronic dance music disc jockey and record producer. [1] [2] He is known for his "unique blend of harder house and trance". [3]
Reynolds has been a resident DJ at a number of London's harder dance club nights, including Frantic, Fevah, and Convergence, and has also been guest DJ at a wide range of nights including at Heaven and headlining at Turnmills and Brixton Academy. [4] [5] Reynolds mixed the first two Frantic - Future Sound of Hard Dance compilation albums, released in 2001 and 2002 respectively. The first was reported to have sold over 50,000 records, and the second peaked at #15 in the official UK compilation chart. [1] [6] [7] Reynolds collaborated with Nick Sentience to produce the track "Instru(mental)", which was voted hard dance tune of the year, named as the Ministry of Sound single of the month, and was featured on the cover CD for the May 2001 issue of Muzik magazine. Reynolds has regularly collaborated with fellow hard house DJ Steve Blake, including producing several tracks, such as "Phase 2" which made #31 in the official UK dance singles chart. [1] [9] The collaboration with Blake also extended to setting up a record label together, called Impact. [4] As of 2022, Reynolds continues to perform live DJ sets. [10]

Tijs Michiel Verwest, known professionally as Tiësto, is a Dutch DJ and music producer. He was voted "The Greatest DJ of All Time" by Mix magazine in a 2010/2011 poll amongst fans. In 2013, he was voted by DJ Mag readers as the "best DJ of the last 20 years". He is also regarded as the "Godfather of EDM" by many sources.
UK hard house or simply hard house is a style of electronic dance music that emerged in the early 1990s and is synonymous with its association to the Trade club and the associated DJs there that created the style. It often features a speedy tempo, offbeat bass stabs, hoovers and horns. It usually contains a break in the middle of the track where no drums are present. UK hard house often uses a long and sharp string note to create suspense. Most of the time, the drops are introduced by a drum roll.

Return to the Source (RTTS) was a London-based Goa trance club and offshoot record label run by partners Chris Decker, Mark Allen, Janice Duncan and Phil Ross. Along with the recurring Escape from Samsara party, which also had a monthly Friday night slot at The Fridge in the mid-1990s, it was an early mainstay of trance in its underground days and through its breakout in the late 1990s. According to Allmusic, its "compilation series of the best trance music on the scene...brought Goa trance to the mainstream hordes".
Euphoria is a series of dance music compilations that debuted on the Telstar Records label in early 1999. During the first year, Euphoria focused primarily on trance music until mid-2000 when Euphoria released the first chill-out album in the series and the first hard house album in late 2000. Euphoria was later spun off into a number of associated club nights around the UK, Ibiza and Cyprus. Over the course of three years, in excess of 500 tour dates were chalked up with tour DJs such as Adam White, Robert Van Ryn, Simon Webdale and Darren James. The compilations included box sets usually priced at around £20.00. The Euphoria albums were of high quality and still are highly collectible and the earlier versions are somewhat rare.

Robert Ferguson, known professionally as Fergie, is a Northern Irish DJ and electronic music artist from Larne. He has been an internationally touring DJ and a music producer for over 20 years. He presented a radio show on BBC Radio 1 for over four years while recording 13 Essential Mixes for the station. He was featured in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll seven consecutive years and currently holds the record for the highest new entry since the poll began, achieved when he was voted 8th in 2000.

"Adagio for Strings" is a track by Dutch DJ Tiësto. It was first released in January 2005 as the fourth single from the album Just Be. A Trance remake of the classical music composition by Samuel Barber, the track takes the melody of the aforementioned piece and adapts it into 4/4 time. In 2013, it was voted by Mixmag readers as the second greatest dance record of all time.

Founded in 1995 by Andy Pickles and Amadeus Mozart, Tidy is known for promoting a style of hard house that is both fun and high tempo. It has featured a roster of hard house and trance artists, and hosts regular live events including the Tidy Weekender. Since 2005 the Tidy label also includes Tidy Two and Untidy.
Rob Tissera is a British hard house disc jockey and record producer. His releases have achieved UK chart success over a c. 10 year period from 1996, and he is known for his live performances and club nights.
The Reactivate series was a compilation album series known for pioneering electronic techno and trance music. With 18 releases, and a number of best-of compilations, the series has achieved both chart success and over a million record sales. The albums were published by UK-based React Music over a 24-year period starting from 1991. The Reactivate sound has been reported as significant in the international rave music scene.
