Philip Pujan Jalalpoor (born 14 June 1993) is a retired German-Iranian professional basketball player. He also played for Iran men's national basketball team at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Before turning professional, Jalalpoor concluded his college basketball career at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
Prior to Jalalpoor moving to Germany in 2020 to join Medi Bayreuth in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), he played professionally in Spain and Austria. [1] [2] In his season with SKN St. Pölten in the Austrian Bundesliga, he averaged 18.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and led the league in assists with an average of 6.9 per game. [3] In National play, he represented Iran in the 2020 Summer Olympics. [4]
In August 2022, Jalapoor signed with Úrvalsdeild karla club Njarðvík in Iceland. [5] He played one regular season game for the team before parting ways with the club on 13 October. [6] [7] Five days later, he signed a one-month injury-replacement contract with rival Úrvalsdeild club KR. [8] In three games for KR, he averaged 8.7 points and 1.3 assists per game.
On 22 June 2023, he returned to Medi Bayreuth, then playing in the German ProA. [9]
Jalalpoor announced his retirement as a player at the end of the 2023-24 campaign. He accepted an offer to become an assistant coach at the University of British Columbia. [10]

He has served as an assistant coach to the Icelandic men's national basketball team from 2014, helping the team to EuroBasket 2015 and EuroBasket 2017.

Guðbjörg Norðfjörð Elíasdóttir is an Icelandic former basketball player and the current chairman of the Icelandic Basketball Federation. As a player, she was named the Icelandic Women's Basketball Player of the Year in 1999 and was a seven-time selection to the Úrvalsdeild kvenna Domestic All-First Team. Guðbjörg won the Icelandic championship three times and the Icelandic Cup four times. She was a member of the Icelandic national basketball team from 1990 to 2002.
The 2019–20 Úrvalsdeild karla was the 69th season of the Úrvalsdeild karla, the top tier men's basketball league in Iceland. The season started on 3 October 2019. On 13 March 2020, with each team having one game left, the season was postponed for at least four weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic in the country. On 18 March, the rest of the season was canceled. Fjölnir was relegated and Stjarnan was named divisional champions for having the best record at the time of the cancelation but no national champions would be named for the season.
Hermann Hauksson is an Icelandic former basketball player and a former member of Icelandic national team. He played the majority of his career in the Úrvalsdeild karla with KR and Njarðvík but also played in Belgium for Sint-Niklaas. In 1997, he was named the Úrvalsdeild karla Domestic Player of the Year. In 1999, he won the Icelandic Cup with Njarðvík after scoring the game-tying three pointer that sent the game to overtime. He retired following the 2001–2002 season due to lingering back injuries.
