Philip Mizzi (born 27 August 1945, Qormi, Malta) is a Maltese actor with a varied body of work on stage, television and film. He has performed in feature and short films such as Agora , Sinbad, Plangent Rain, The Isle and portrayed the protagonist Paul in the award-winning short film In the End.
Philip Mizzi was born to Carmel and Nazzarena (née Psaila) Mizzi, the eldest of ten siblings. His father, a local cinema projectionist kindled his love for the visual arts. His main pastime was analyzing films. Although he wanted to follow an acting course, he had to put these plans on hold. After he left school, he gained employment to help his parent financially to raise his younger siblings. It was only after he married, he seized on the opportunity and enrolled in an acting course at the MTADA. [ citation needed ]
His first television production was the religious inquisitive drama, Kristu fl-Izbarra, in 1979. [1] He took on various roles and characters and had a monologue in the studio setup part of the teleplay. After this experience, he embarked on one of the most eclectic stage career portraying characters in plays like Saturday, Sunday, Monday by Eduardo De Filippo and as "Vinnie" in The Odd Couple .
In 1982, he traveled to London as part of The Young Atturi with the production of The Idiot King written by Saviour Pirotta. This got him to perform for disadvantage children in the London area. Another memorable experience was performing the Russian play, Evening Light in Moscow and St Petersburg in 1991. As part of the Maltese dramatic company Atturi, they also performed Saturday, Sunday, Monday for a Russian audience when the USSR was being dismantled.
In 1992, he joined the team of Christopher Columbus-The Discovery as a Crowd Marshal. He was in charge of extras casting for principal photography in Malta. This experience inspired him to conceive and expand the INGUARDIA parade with other various re-enactments like Birgu by Candlelight, The Mdina Festival and the traditional Maltese weddings in Mdina, Valletta, Mgarr and Qormi.
His recent performance was as Paul in the short film In the end, [2] for which Philip was awarded the Best Performance award in the Malta Cine-Circle National Film Competition. The film went on to win two other International awards in the New York International Film Festival and The Indie in California.
Philip is married to MaryAnn Cardona and has two sons, Alexis and Ramon. He still lives in Qormi and is still actively involved in the organizations of annual events and ceremonies.

The city occupies a promontory of land with Fort Saint Angelo at its head and the city of Cospicua at its base. Birgu is ideally situated for safe anchorage, and over time it has developed a very long history with maritime, mercantile and military activities.

Akiva Daniel Shebar Schaffer is an American actor, filmmaker, comedian, and musician. He is a member of the comedy group The Lonely Island along with childhood friends Andy Samberg and Jorma Taccone. Schaffer began his career with The Lonely Island making videos for Channel 101. In 2005, Saturday Night Live hired the trio, with Schaffer joining as a writer. In their time at SNL, The Lonely Island pioneered the digital short format, creating some of the most popular sketches of all time, including "Lazy Sunday", "I Just Had Sex", "I'm on a Boat", and "Dick in a Box". After SNL, Schaffer went on to direct movies including Hot Rod, The Watch, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, and Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers. The Lonely Island has made albums such as Incredibad, Turtleneck & Chain, and The Wack Album. Schaffer also produced a number of TV shows and movies, some of which include MacGruber, PEN15, I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, and Palm Springs.

L-Għanja tal-Poplu is a popular Maltese song competition first organized by Youth Travel Circle (YTC) on 5 May 1973 at the St. Albert College in Valletta. The founder of YTC is Rev. Maurice Mifsud. Initially the contest had to register as YTC members. From 1987 onward, the contest took a national dimension. The competing songs are sung primarily in Maltese and are written either by the singers themselves or other songwriters. In the 1990s the contest started being transmitted on local television stations. This contest is today organised by the voluntary organisation L-Għanja tal-Poplu and is slso supported by Arts Council Malta.
Brian Rolè is an active international Maltese magician and illusionist. He was born on Malta's sister island Gozo in 1972 and became a full-time professional magician in 2000. Currently Brian is one of the most popular magicians in Malta due to his regular grand scale illusion shows and various television appearances. Usually he performs with his partner Lola Palmer under the stage name The Palmers. He is a full member of The Magic Circle and the International Brotherhood of Magicians as well as the Malta Magician's Society IBM Ring 202 the International Society of Magicians and most recently in 2020 the Society of American Magicians.
Lorenzo Gafà (1639–1703) was a Maltese Baroque architect and sculptor. He designed many churches in the Maltese Islands, including St. Paul's Cathedral in Mdina and the Cathedral of the Assumption in Victoria, Gozo. He was the younger brother of the sculptor Melchiorre Cafà.
George Abela, is a Maltese politician who was the eighth president of Malta from April 2009 to April 2014.
Joseph "Joe" Grech, is a Maltese singer, who was born in Cospicua, Malta. He is best known for introducing the Maltese language to the Eurovision Song Contest 1971, the first appearance from Malta on this pan-European television event.
General elections were held in Malta on Saturday, 3 June 2017 to elect all members of the House of Representatives. The elections were contested by the Labour Party, led by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, the Nationalist Party, led by opposition leader Simon Busuttil, and four other parties, making it the elections with most parties participating since 1962.

She made her screen-debut through the English movie Mother Teresa in 1997 by portraying a supporting character. Her first appearance in Sri Lankan cinema. was as the lead in the Sinhalese movie Ira Madiyama (2003) for which she won Best Performance/Best Actress at several international and national award ceremonies - these included the 2004 International Film Festival of Las Palmas and 2006 SIGNIS Salutation Awards Ceremony.
Robert Abela is a Maltese lawyer and politician who has served as prime minister of Malta and leader of Labour Party since 2020. The son of former President George Abela, he was elected to Parliament in 2017. Abela was sworn in as prime minister following the resignation of Joseph Muscat on 13 January 2020.
Bice Mizzi Vassallo was a Maltese pianist, considered among the foremost pianists of her generation. She is also known as the daughter of composer Paolino Vassallo and Maria Anna nee Grech, and the wife of former Maltese Prime Minister Enrico Mizzi.
