Philip Tiu Tan is a Filipino politician from the province of Misamis Occidental in the Philippines. He was the former Governor of Misamis Occidental serving from 2019 to 2022. [1] [2] [3]
Northern Mindanao is an administrative region in the Philippines,designated as Region X. It comprises five provinces:Bukidnon,Camiguin,Misamis Occidental,Misamis Oriental,and Lanao del Norte,and two cities classified as highly urbanized,all occupying the north-central part of Mindanao island,and the island-province of Camiguin. In December 2022,a series of floods began to severely affect the provinces of Misamis Occidental and Misamis Oriental,and some parts of the southern island of Mindanao in the Philippines. The floods were caused by intense rain,which poured down on the central and southern parts of the country.
