The Philippines national junior handball team is the U-21 national team of the Philippines. It takes part in international handball competitions and is governed by the Philippine Handball Federation.
The national team made its international debut at the 2014 IHF Trophy - Zone 1B (Southeast Asia) Zone which took place from 8-12 December, 2014 in Nusajaya, Malaysia. The tournament also saw the national teams of Brunei, Thailand, Singapore and the hosts Malaysia. [1] [2] The Philippines defeated Brunei, also making their debut in international handball, in their opening match with the score 35-6 at the EduCity Indoor Stadium. [3]

The 2009 World Women's Handball Championship was the 19th edition, second to take place outside Europe, of the international championship tournament in women's team sport handball that is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF). China hosted the event from 5-20 December 2009. Russia successfully contested France in the final, their fourth title.

Anders Eggert Magnussen is a Danish handball player currently playing for Skjern Håndbold. He has previously played in Denmark for GOG and german side SG Flensburg-Handewitt. He was part of SG Flensburg-Handewitt team that won the 2013–14 EHF Champions League trophy. In his 11 years with SG Flensburg-Handewitt he played in 461 matches and scored 2531 times.
The 2015 World Men's Handball Championship was the 24th staging of the World Men's Handball Championship, organised by the International Handball Federation (IHF). The final tournament was held for the first time in Qatar, from 15 January to 1 February 2015. The Qatari bid was selected over those of Norway, Poland and France after a vote by the IHF Council on 27 January 2011, in Malmö, Sweden. This is the third time that the World Championship was hosted in the Middle East And North Africa, after Egypt in 1999 and Tunisia in 2005.
The Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy for ASEAN Youth Football Championship, is the football tournament for youth players in Southeast Asia. It was opened to football players from ASEAN member states under the age of 21 years to participate in this.
In India, Handball and Handball Federation of India was founded by Mr. Jagat Singh Lohan, a Jat from Rohtak (Haryana) who was an alumnus of YMCA College of Physical Education of Madras. Lohan was founder/father of Handball, Netball and Throwball games in India. His efforts in Germany during Munich Olympics helped in establishing Handball Federation of India. The Member States were Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Vidharbha and Jammu and Kashmir. He was also elected as first Secretary General of Handball Federation of India.
The Australian Handball Federation (AHF) is the governing body for the Olympic sport of handball in Australia.
The 2014 Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy was the fifth edition of the invitational tournament hosted by Brunei. The tournament take place in Brunei from 9–23 August 2014. Eleven teams from the Asean Football Federation participate in the tournament for under the age of 22. The draw took place on 12 July 2014 at the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) House. The teams are divided into two groups. Host country, Brunei, were given a chance to choose which group they wished to be drawn in. Brunei chose to be drawn in group B. Indonesia was to confirm its participation in the tournament but was not included in the initial draw. Indonesia's participation was later confirmed by the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam on 20 July and a second draw was held on 22 July to include Indonesia. Indonesia send its U19 team.
The 2021 IHF World Men's Handball Championship will be the 27th event hosted by the International Handball Federation to be held in Egypt from 13 to 31 January 2021.
The Kosovo national men's handball team is the national handball team of Kosovo, representing the country in international competition. The team is governed by Kosovo Handball Federation. The national handball team started competing in international competition in 2014, following Kosovo's full status recognition from the International Handball Federation (IHF).
Handball competitions at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, were held from July 24 to August 5. The venue for the competition is the Sports Centre Hall 1 located at the Videna cluster. The venue also hosted judo. A total of eight men's and eight women's teams competed in each tournament. This means a total of 224 athletes are competed.
The 2019 Women's Oceania Handball Challenge Trophy was held in New Caledonia from 11 to 16 August 2019.
