Phillip Barnett (born June 3, 1990) is an American football wide receiver for the Albany Firebirds of the Arena Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Washington Valor of the Arena Football League (AFL) and played college football at the University of Toledo.
Barnett signed a letter of intent with the University of Toledo to play football, [1] however he never appeared in a single game for the Rockets.
Barnett signed with the Cincinnati Commandos of the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL). [2] Barnett helped the Commandos to an undefeated 2011 season, winning the 2011 CIFL Championship Game. Barnett returned to the Commandos in 2012, helping the Commandos claim another championship, this time in the Ultimate Indoor Football League (UIFL).
In 2013, the Commandos folded, and Barnett followed head coach Billy Back to the Texas Revolution of the Indoor Football League (IFL). [3]
In 2014, Barnett once again followed head coach Billy Back, this time to the Nashville Venom of the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL). [4] Barnett was named the Offensive Player of the Year in the PIFL, helping the Venom to a 10-2 record, and a PIFL Championship. [5]
On March 20, 2015, Barnett was assigned to the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League (AFL). [6]
On October 20, 2016, Barnett signed with the Wichita Falls Nighthawks. On April 27, 2017, Barnett was placed on the transfer list.
On January 9, 2017, Barnett was assigned to the Cleveland Gladiators. On February 10, 2017, Barnett was placed on league suspension. On May 2, 2017, he was activated from league suspension. On June 12, 2017, Barnett was placed on reassignment. On June 14, 2017, Barnett was once again assigned to the Gladiators.
On March 19, 2019, Barnett was assigned to the Washington Valor.
On October 13, 2020, Barnett signed with the Jacksonville Sharks of the National Arena League (NAL).
On May 27, 2021, Barnett was traded to the Albany Empire of the National Arena League (NAL). [7]
On January 14, 2022, Barnett signed with the San Antonio Gunslingers of the National Arena League (NAL). [8] On March 31, 2022, Barnett was released by the Gunslingers after being suspended indefinitely by the league.
On April 6, 2022, Barnett signed with the Frisco Fighters of the Indoor Football League (IFL). [9] Barnett was released on May 31, 2022. [10]
On June 2, 2022, Barnett signed with the San Antonio Gunslingers of the National Arena League (NAL) after having his suspension lifted by the league. [11] On October 23, 2022, Barnett re-signed with the Gunslingers. [12] Barnett became a free agent at the end of the season.
On March 6, 2024, Barnett signed with the Albany Firebirds of the Arena Football League (AFL). [13]
The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks were a professional indoor football team based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The Steelhawks began play as an expansion team in the Indoor Football League (IFL) in 2011.
The Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) was a professional indoor football league that played four seasons from 2012 to 2015. Like the Lone Star Football League, the PIFL was mainly composed of teams formerly part of Southern Indoor Football League. Despite the name, this PIFL had no connections to the original Professional Indoor Football League.

Hobbs has also been a member of the San Diego Chargers, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Calgary Stampeders, Orlando Predators and Tampa Bay Storm.
Robert Lee Chapple is an American football quarterback for the Atlanta Havoc of the American Arena League (AAL). He signed with the Colorado Ice as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He played college football at the University of North Alabama after transferring out of Georgia Southern University.
Larry Ford is an American football defensive lineman who is currently a free agent. He was signed by the Florida Tarpons as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He played college football at West Virginia University, after transferring in from Coffeyville Community College. Marvin Ross is an American football defensive back for the Jacksonville Sharks of the National Arena League (NAL). Ross started out with the Lions from 2013 to 2015 as part of the Professional Indoor Football League. As an Arena Football League player, Ross was the 2016 AFL Rookie of the Year with the Cleveland Gladiators before playing with the Atlantic City Blackjacks in 2019. In between these years, Ross played in the National Arena League with the Columbus Lions and the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders from 2017 to 2018. With the Lions, Ross was awarded the 2021 NAL Defensive Player of the Year and had the season record for most interceptions.

Prince received 1st Team All-NAL team honors with the Steelhawks and the ArenaBowl MVP Award with the Soul during ArenaBowl XXX in 2017.
The San Antonio Gunslingers are a professional indoor football team in the Indoor Football League (IFL). The team is based in San Antonio, Texas, where they play home games at Freeman Coliseum. They share their name with the original USFL's team of the same name that played from 1984 to 1985.
The 2022 National Arena League season was the fifth season of the National Arena League (NAL). The league played with only six teams mostly based in the Eastern United States, with one new team arriving from the American Arena League, the San Antonio Gunslingers, based in Texas. The season ended with the Albany Empire, Carolina Cobras, Columbus Lions, and Jacksonville Sharks qualifying for the playoffs and the Albany Empire winning the championship.
