Phillip D. Brady (born May 20,1951,in Pasadena,CA) was Assistant to the President and Staff Secretary in the White House from 1991 to 1993 under President George H. W. Bush,as well as General Counsel to the US Department of Transportation. [1] He was formerly the President of the National Automobile Dealers Association.
Brady,a cum laude graduate of both the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans,practiced law in California before entering politics in Washington,D.C. [2]

On December 7,2006,the George W. Bush administration's Department of Justice ordered the unprecedented midterm dismissal of seven United States attorneys. Congressional investigations focused on whether the Department of Justice and the White House were using the U.S. attorney positions for political advantage. Allegations were that some of the attorneys were targeted for dismissal to impede investigations of Republican politicians or that some were targeted for their failure to initiate investigations that would damage Democratic politicians or hamper Democratic-leaning voters. The U.S. attorneys were replaced with interim appointees,under provisions in the 2005 USA PATRIOT Act reauthorization.
Will A. Gunn is an American lawyer and former officer in the American Armed Forces. Gunn was appointed by President Barack Obama to be the new general counsel for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. He attended the United States Air Force Academy,graduating in 1980,and Harvard Law School,graduating in 1986. While at Harvard,he was elected President of the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau. In 1990 Gunn was a White House Fellow and Associate Director of Cabinet Affairs. Gunn also has a Masters of Laws degree in Environmental Law from George Washington University Law School and a Master of Science degree in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
