Phillip Sarofim (born April 29, 1986) is an American entrepreneur, venture capitalist, executive and Chairman of Board of Meyers Manx. [1] He is also a car collector. [2]
Phillip Sarofim was born on April 29, 1986, in Texas, United States. He is the son of Fayez Sarofim, an Egyptian-American billionaire and co-owner of the NFL's Houston Texans, and Linda Hicks Sarofim Lowe. [3] [4] He grew up in Houston, Texas, and Hawaii. He attended Rice University.
Sarofim is the founder and CEO of venture capital firm Trousdale Ventures. The company's portfolio includes Meyers Manx, [5] Lemon Perfect, [6] Super Coffee, and CesiumAstro. [1] [7] [8] He was one of the 2023 Tom Ford Plastic Innovation Prize judges. [9]
Sarofim is a car enthusiast and collector. His collection includes vehicles like the Lancia Stratos Zero, [10] Aston Martin Bulldog, [11] [12] Porsche 911 Ruf CTR, Isdera Commendatore 112i, a Ruf CTR, and an assortment of Meyers Manx dune buggies. [5] In 2023, the Bulldog posted over 205mph on a Scottish airfield. [13]
Sarofim is a survivor of stage II Hodgkin lymphoma and is deeply committed to philanthropy in the areas of health and education. In 2019, he established the Phillip Sarofim Scholarship Endowment at UCLA. [14] He also contributes to cancer research at institutions like Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the American Cancer Society. [15]

The Aston Martin Bulldog, styled by William Towns, is a British, one-off concept vehicle produced by Aston Martin in 1979. The code name for the project was DP K901. Initially, a production run of 15–25 cars was planned, but the project was deemed too costly and only one was built. It is currently owned by Phillip Sarofim.
