Pierce City, formerly Peirce City, is a city in Lawrence and Barry counties, in southwest Missouri, United States. The population was 1,292 at the 2010 census. In 2010, the town annexed property along Route 97 into Barry County to a point just north of U.S. Route 60.

Jack Goodman was a Republican member of the Missouri Senate, representing the 29th District between 2005 and 2012. He is currently a Circuit Judge for the 39th Judicial Circuit, which consists of Stone, Barry, and Lawrence counties.

The Missouri Senate is the upper chamber of the Missouri General Assembly. It has 34 members, representing districts with an average population of 174,000. Its members serve four-year terms, with half the seats being up for election every two years. The Senate chooses a President Pro-tem to serve in the absence of the Lieutenant Governor or when he shall have to exercise the office of Governor of the State of Missouri if there is a vacancy in that office due to death, resignation, impeachment, or incapacitation. The Missouri State Congressional Term Limits Amendment, also known as Amendment 12, was on the November 3, 1992 ballot in Missouri as an initiated constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure amended the Constitution to prohibit a person from serving more than eight years in either the state house of representatives or state senate, or a total of sixteen years in both houses.

Mizzou Arena is an indoor arena located on the campus of the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Home to the school's men's and women's basketball teams, the facility opened in November 2004 and replaced the Hearnes Center as the school's flagship indoor sports facility. The arena also serves as the Columbia-Jefferson City market's venue for well-known 'arena' acts such as Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan and the Eagles. The arched-roof building seats 15,061, and is located just south of Hearnes and Memorial Stadium. He coached at the University of Northern Iowa from 1961 to 1967, but is best known for his career with the University of Missouri from 1967 until 1999. Crispus Attucks High School Public medical magnet school in Indianapolis, IN

Crispus Attucks High School of the Indianapolis Public Schools in Indianapolis, in the U.S. state of Indiana is named for Crispus Attucks, an American patriot killed during what became known as the Boston Massacre. The school was built near Indiana Avenue northwest of downtown Indianapolis and opened on September 12, 1927, when it was the only public high school in the city designated specifically for African Americans. Despite the passage of federal and state school desegregation laws, Attucks was the city's only high school with a single-race student body in 1953, largely due to residential segregation, and remained a segregated school until in 1971. Attucks was converted to a junior high school in 1986, due to declining enrollment, and a middle school in 1993. It became a medical magnet high school in 2006, partially due to the school's proximity to the campus of the Indiana University School of Medicine and its associated hospitals.

Loyola Ramblers mens basketball NCAA Division 1 Basketball Program

The Loyola Ramblers men's basketball team represents Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. The Ramblers joined the Missouri Valley Conference on July 1, 2013, ending a 34-season tenure as charter members of the Horizon League.

The Miss Show-Me Basketball honor recognizes the top female high school basketball player in the state of Missouri. The name of the award differs from other Miss Basketball awards to reflect Missouri's state nickname, the Show-Me State. The award is presented annually by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association. In order to be considered for the award, nominees must have been nominated by their high school coach, started in 90 percent of all games, must be high school seniors, and must be of "outstanding moral character". Ten girls are selected as finalists after nominations are compiled, and a special committee of assistant college coaches in Missouri choose the winner.

The School of Music is one of twenty-one academic divisions of the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. As part of the College of Arts and Science, the school awards baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral degrees. Its programs encompass composition, conducting, performance, music education, music history, and music theory. Established in 1917 as the Department of Music, the school continues to play a prominent role in the cultural life of Mid-Missouri. It is located on campus in Downtown Columbia, primarily in the Fine Arts Building. In 2018 construction began on a new music building, planned to open in 2020. Its major performance venues are Jesse Hall, the Missouri Theatre, and Whitmore Recital Hall. The University's marching band, Marching Mizzou, performs at Faurot Field for Southeastern Conference football games. The school's ensembles have performed worldwide and can be heard weekly on 90.5 FM Classical. Alumni include singers Sheryl Crow and Neal Boyd, Canadian Brass founder Gene Watts, and jazz artist Mike Metheny.
