Pigespejdernes Fællesråd Danmark (PFD, The Joint Committee of Girl Guides in Denmark) is the national Guiding federation of Denmark. Danish Guiding started in 1910, the PFD was founded in 1923 and was among the founding members of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1928. The federation serves 18,893 Guides (as of 2008). [1]

A Jamboree took place near Holstebro in July 2012, run jointly by member organizations of the PFD as well as the Danish Scout Council. [2] 35,000 Scouts are expected to attend. [3]
Princess Benedikte of Denmark, Princess of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg is the second daughter and child of King Frederick IX and Queen Ingrid of Denmark. She is the younger sister of the reigning Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II, and the older sister of Queen Anne-Marie of Greece.

The Italian Scout Federation is the national Scouting and Guiding federation of Italy. Scouting and Guiding in Italy started in 1910, the Boy Scouts were among the charter members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1922, the Girl Guides joined the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1948. The federation serves 102,778 Scouts and 84,303 Guides.
The Scout and Guide movement in Denmark consists of about ten different associations. Most of them are members of two large federations, but there are also some independent organizations. Affiliated to Danish Scouting and Guiding are the organizations in Greenland, on the Faroe Islands and in Southern Schleswig.
De grønne pigespejdere is the only Guiding and Scouting organisation in Denmark exclusively for girls. It was established in 1919 as the KFUK-spejderne i Danmark and changed its name to De grønne pigespejdere in 2003. De grønne pigespejdere is member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts through Pigespejdernes Fællesråd Danmark.
Éclaireuses et Éclaireurs de France is an interreligious and coeducational Scouting and Guiding association in France. The first interreligious Scouting groups in France were founded in 1911, and interreligious Guiding started in 1914; both movements merged in 1964 forming the EEdF. The association serves today about 17,000 members of both genders.
Cay Lembcke was a co-founder of the Danish Boy Scouts Organization in 1910 and the National Socialist Workers' Party of Denmark in 1930. He was captain of the Danish Guard Hussars until his resignation in 1923, following public disagreement with the Danish government over budget cuts in the Danish defence.
Scouting and Guiding in Switzerland is made up of numerous scouting and guiding bodies which act to provide the opportunities to scout. This could be though Swiss national Scouting and Guiding organizations, through independent troops or through international troops established in Switzerland. While the latter two are similar, there is a fundamental difference because the three independent groups while taking guidance under different national regimes it is a program developed by people in the various cities, where the presence of international groups in Switzerland is a top down targeted programs that have been developed to offer expatriates scouting and guiding in the language they are used to and are developed in areas with a larger expatriate community. All of which are supported the existence of KISC and Our Chalet, both acting as semi-permeant jamborees.
Scouting and Guiding in Sweden is represented by one organisation Scouterna as a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement and World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. It was formed in 2012 as the successor to Svenska Scoutrådet which consisted of five different associations.

Ove Holm served as Organizing Secretary and Administrator of the 2nd World Scout Jamboree, held from August 9 to 17, 1924 at Ermelunden, Denmark, and Chief Scout of Det Danske Spejderkorps from 1924 to 1960. He graduated from w:da:Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium in 1912 and was awarded the Bronze Wolf, the only distinction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, awarded by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting, in 1949.
Tage Carstensen was in charge of all international aspects of the 2nd World Scout Jamboree, held from August 9 to 17, 1924 at Ermelunden, Denmark. He later served as a lawyer in Jutland, International Commissioner of Det Danske Spejderkorps, and founder of the Scout Blood Transfusion Service.
