Tyrone Gregory Rivers, better known by his stage name Pill, is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. [3]

Musical career

In early 2009, Pill's first mixtape 4180: The Prescription, and his first single "Trap Goin' Ham" was released. [1] In September 2009, Pill was featured in The Source's Unsigned Hype section. [4] The mixtape received praise from fellow Atlanta rapper André 3000. [5] Later that year he was featured in XXL's Show & Prove section. [1] He also appeared on Killer Mike's Underground Atlanta compilation, on the tracks "Bunkin'" and "Grind Time." [1] [6] Pill's second mixtape 4075: The Refill and his second single off the mixtape "Glass" was released.

In 2010, he was featured on the cover of XXL as part of the XXL Freshman 10 line-up, with Donnis, Nipsey Hussle, Jay Rock, J. Cole, OJ da Juiceman and more. [7] In June 2010, he released his third mixtape and first Gangsta Grillz mixtape 1140: The Overdose which was hosted by DJ Drama. [8] He later appeared on fellow XXL Freshman Freddie Gibbs's EP Str8 Killa No Filla on the track "Do Wrong." [9] He was also featured on "Introducing the Business" by Mark Ronson, which featured on Ronson's album Record Collection.

Maybach Music Group, the hip-hop imprint founded by Rick Ross, has announced a partnership with Warner Bros. Records. Maybach also announced its latest signee, Atlanta rapper Pill, on 22 February 2011. [10]

Recently Pill was featured on "Ya Killin Me", a song off of Tech N9ne's new All 6's and 7's album, which appeared as a bonus track. [11]

On 3 January 2012, Pill announced that he was leaving Maybach Music Group Imprint and Warner Bros. Records via his Twitter account. [12]

After a six-year hiatus, Pill released a single "Back Right" on 15 February 2018, produced by 808 Mafia. [13]

Dreamchasers 2 is the ninth mixtape by American rapper Meek Mill. It was released on May 7, 2012, by Maybach Music Group and Warner Bros. Records, and also released for digital download on DatPiff. It serves as the second installment in the Dreamchasers series, following Dreamchasers (2011). The mixtape features guest appearances from American rappers Travis Scott, Rick Ross, Fabolous, French Montana, Wale, Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, 2 Chainz and Canadian rapper Drake – along with singing vocals by Jeremih, Trey Songz and Jordanne; as well as production that was provided by Jahlil Beats, SAP, All Star, Cardiak, Reginald Smith, and Jesse Wilson, among others. The mixtape consists mostly of original material, including a remix to Meek Mill's single from his previous mixtape Dreamchasers, "House Party", and a cover of Drake's "The Ride".

Dreams and Nightmares is the debut studio album by American rapper Meek Mill, released on October 30, 2012, by Maybach Music Group and Warner Bros. Records. Mill intended for it to be authentic and more cohesive than his mixtapes, having a stronger connection through both vocals and beats. The album features guest appearances from Kirko Bangz, Rick Ross, Nas, John Legend, Drake, Wale, and Mary J. Blige, among others. Production was primarily handled by Jahlil Beats and Boi-1da, alongside the likes of Tone the Beat Bully and Key Wane. The recording took place from January to September 2012, including sessions in a studio bus on the Club Paradise Tour. Sessions were also held in Los Angeles and Miami, and multiple recordings were included on Mill's ninth mixtape, Dreamchasers 2 (2012). The dreams represent Mill making money as a performer, while the nightmares are based on coming up from his neighbourhood.

It was released on August 11, 2011, by Maybach Music Group and on professional mixtape website DatPiff and is the first installment in the Dreamchasers series. Dreamchasers features guest appearances by American rappers Young Chris, Rick Ross, Beanie Sigel, Mel Love, NH, Yo Gotti, and Young Pooh. He embarked on his career in hip hop as a member of fellow Florida-based rapper Rick Ross's Southern hip hop group Triple C's. Triple C's released their debut album, Custom Cars & Cycles, in 2009. After signing to Ross's Maybach Music Group label, upon its inception in 2009, Gunplay would announce he secured a solo recording contract with Def Jam Recordings, in July 2012. He released several mixtapes, such as 601 & Snort. His debut studio album, titled Living Legend, was released in 2015.
