The Piraeus Tower or Piraeus Merchant Shipping Center is an 84 meter high building located in Piraeus. It is the second tallest building in Greece, after the similar architecture of the Tower of Athens. The construction of the building began in 1972 according to plans by Ioannis Vikelas, Demosthenes Molfesis and Alexandros Loizos. The frame of the building was completed in 1974 and in 1983 it was clad externally with glass and metal sheets. Only the three lower floors of the building were utilized and the rest was left empty. In 2021, the reconstruction of the tower began, which was completed in 2023. The tower was officially opened on 4 June 2024. It has 24 floors and two basements, with a total built-up area of 34,623 square meters. [1]

The building was officially classified as the world's tallest from its opening on 31 December 2004. However, the Burj Khalifa surpassed Taipei 101 in 2010. Upon completion, it became the world's first skyscraper to exceed a height of half a kilometer. As of 2023, Taipei 101 is the tallest building in Taiwan and the eleventh tallest building in the world.

It had the world's fastest elevators at a top speed of 20.5 meters per second until 2017, when it was surpassed by the Guangzhou CTF Finance Center, with its top speed of 21 meters per second. Designed by the international design firm Gensler and owned by the Shanghai Municipal Government, it is the tallest of the world's first triple-adjacent supertall buildings in Pudong, the other two being the Jin Mao Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center. Its tiered construction, designed for high energy efficiency, provides nine separate zones divided between office, retail and leisure use. The US-based Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat cites it as "one of the most sustainably advanced tall buildings in the world."
Athens Towers, is a complex of two buildings situated in Athens, Greece. Athens Tower 1 is 103 m (338 ft) and 28 storeys high, making it the tallest building in Greece, while Athens Tower 2 has 15 storeys and a height of 65 m (213 ft) being the 8th tallest in Greece.

Suzhou Zhongnan Center is a stalled 499.2-metre (1,638 ft) tall building in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. Original plans called for a height of 729 metres (2,391.7 ft) but plans were scrapped in 2019 in compliance with China's ban on buildings taller than 500 metres (1,641 ft). The new tower was proposed in 2019 and construction started less than a year later however, work was halted in mid 2022.
Chengdu Greenland Tower is a stalled supertall skyscraper in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. It will have a height of 468 metres (1,535 ft) with 101 floors. Construction began in 2014 and was halted in early 2019. In mid 2020, construction resumed but was halted once again in 2023 when it was close to topping out at its full height. It is projected that when it is completed, it will be the tallest building in Chengdu and southwestern China.

The tower has a net lettable area of 240,000 square metres. It is also the centerpiece of the new Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) financial district.
The Iconic Tower is a mixed-use supertall skyscraper in the New Administrative Capital of Egypt. With a total structural height of almost 400 metres (1,300 ft), it is both the tallest building and the tallest structure in Africa. It has 77 floors, mostly for office use, and is one of 20 towers being built as part of the central business district in the new capital city. The total area of the tower exceeds 265,000 m2 (2,850,000 sq ft).
Pyrgos Vasilissis railway station is a station on the Piraeus–Platy railway line in Agioi Anargyroi, a suburb in municipality of Agioi Anargyroi-Kamatero, in the regional unit of West Athens, Attica, Greece. It was opened on 27 February 2014 and is located in front of the stadium of Agioi Anargyroi. The station owes its name to the large adjacent tower, built as a mock castle that was built as a holiday home of Queen Amalia.

The largest church in its community, Hagia Triada is the cathedral and the metropolitan seat of the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus. The current building, as it stands today, was constructed in 1979, though a church on that site was first built in 1839.
