Pitsi Paul Moloto is a South African politician and businessman who served in the Limpopo Executive Council from May 2009 to July 2013. Under Premier Cassel Mathale,he served as Limpopo's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Economic Development,Environmental Affairs,and Tourism from 2009 to 2012 and as MEC for Roads and Transport from 2012 to 2013. He represented the African National Congress in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature but did not seek re-election in the 2014 general election.
Moloto was elected to the Limpopo Provincial Legislature in the 2009 general election,ranked 13th on the ANC's provincial party list. [1] After the election,on 6 May 2009,newly elected Premier Cassel Mathale announced that Moloto would join his Executive Council as MEC for Economic Development,Environmental Affairs,and Tourism. He succeeded Collins Chabane,who had been sworn into the National Assembly. [2]
Moloto remained in that position until 13 March 2012,when Mathale announced a cabinet reshuffle in which Moloto swapped positions with Pinky Kekana,becoming MEC for Roads and Transport. The opposition Democratic Alliance said that it was not confident that Moloto possessed the "political gravitas" to turn the department's performance around. [3] Moloto held the Roads and Transport portfolio for less than two years:in July 2013,Mathale was replaced by Premier Stan Mathabatha,who fired Moloto and seven other MECs. [4] Moloto served the remainder of the legislative term as an ordinary Member of the Provincial Legislature but did not seek re-election in the 2014 general election. [5]
Cassel Mathale is a South African politician who was the third Premier of Limpopo between March 2009 and July 2013. He is currently the Deputy Minister of Police in the South African government and before that was Deputy Minister of Small Business Development from February 2018 to May 2019.
Chupu Stanley Mathabatha is a South African politician who served as the 4th Premier of Limpopo and is currently serving as a member of South Africa's 7th Parliament,as well as being the Deputy Minister for Land Reform and Rural Development since 3 July 2024. He was elected to the position of premier in July 2013 after the resignation of Cassel Mathale. He was previously a public servant in Limpopo province and from 2012 to 2013 completed a brief stint as a diplomat,serving as South African Ambassador to Ukraine under President Jacob Zuma. He was succeeded by the former Limpopo MEC of Health Phophi Ramathuba on 14 June 2024.

A lawyer by training,he was Limpopo's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Treasury from 2006 to 2011. He left provincial politics in 2012 and subsequently served as the South African Ambassador to Qatar and as South African Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
