Pivit is an American punk rock band hailing from Poway and Cardiff, California, formed in late 1994 by original drummer Mark McLemore, lead singer Chris Moore, and guitarist Eric Sisson in San Diego County, California. In 1995, they recorded their first demo entitled Find the Fuzz. Eventually they produced 3 albums together, Pressure in 1996, Millennium in 1998 and finally Thanks for Coming Back in 2002.

The band enjoyed moderate success, earning heavy praise from critics and fans [1] [2] [3] and opening for such bands as Blink-182, Incubus, MxPx, Buck-O-Nine, Sack Lunch, Pennywise, Unwritten Law, Mad Caddies, Ten Foot Pole, Home Grown and many local San Diego bands. [4] In June 1998, a video was shot for Pivit's song "Oddessy" in Rancho Bernardo and downtown San Diego, directed by Taylor Steele. [5] [6] A music video was made in 2002 for the song "Fingercuffs", [7] and a video was also made for "Millennium", but only played at live shows. [8]

Since disbanding in 2003, there have been a few reunion shows with Agent 51, Sack Lunch, and Spero Lumina throughout 2008 and 2009. [9] and 2015

Skate punk is a skater subculture and punk rock subgenre that developed in the 1980s. Originally a form of hardcore punk that had been closely associated with skate culture, skate punk evolved into a more melodic genre of punk rock in the 1990s similar to pop punk. Since then, it has predominately featured fast tempos, lead guitar playing, fast drumming, and singing. Occasionally, skate punk also combines the fast tempos of hardcore punk and melodic hardcore with the catchy hooks of pop-punk.

Unwritten Law is an American punk rock band formed in 1990 in Poway, California by drummer Wade Youman. The band has undergone multiple line-up changes, with Youman the sole remaining original member – however, he has left the group twice in its three-decade history. They are best known for their singles "Seein' Red" and "Save Me ," both of which peaked in the top 5 in the US Modern Rock charts and the former topping it. The band have also toured extensively both nationally and internationally, most notably as part of the Warped Tour. The band has released seven full-length studio albums to date; their most recent, The Hum, was released in 2022.

Here's to the Mourning is the fifth studio album by American rock band Unwritten Law, released in 2005 by Lava Records. Much of the lyrics on the album were co-written by singer/songwriter Aimee Allen. She and singer Scott Russo soon began a romantic relationship and formed the side project Scott & Aimee. Allen and Linda Perry contributed to the writing of the album's lead single "Save Me ," which reached #5 on US modern rock charts. Overall the album reached #51 on the Billboard 200, becoming the highest-ranking album of the band's career.
