Little Pixie Geldof [1] [2] (born 17 September 1990) [3] is an English-born model and singer. She is the third daughter of Irish musician Bob Geldof and Paula Yates.

Early life

Geldof is the third daughter of Irish musician Bob Geldof and Paula Yates. [4] [5] She is also the biological granddaughter of Hughie Green. Pixie had two sisters, Fifi Trixibelle Geldof (born 1983) and Peaches Geldof (1989–2014), and has a half-sister, Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof (born 1996), from her mother's relationship with INXS frontman Michael Hutchence. Her great-grandmother was Jewish. [6]

Modelling

Her first magazine cover modelling appearance was for Tatler in 2008. [7] She has also been the face of advertising campaigns for Levi's, Diesel, Henry Holland, Razzle, Agent Provocateur, Loewe and Pringle of Scotland, as well as modelling for Vivienne Westwood, Luella and Jeremy Scott. She modelled for Debenhams in 2010.[ citation needed ]

Music

Geldof is the lead singer of the band Violet, [8] who released their first single in May 2012. [9] She was scheduled to DJ at the 2014 Coachella in April but cancelled it due to the death of her sister. [10]

She released her first album I'm Yours in November 2016. It was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Tony Hoffer. [11]

Activism

Geldof has a passion for marine wildlife, especially sharks. [12] She is an advocate for marine conservation and was one of the ambassadors for the #PassOnPlastic campaign against the pollution of water by single use plastic led by Project Zero and Sky Ocean Rescue. [13]

She also advocates against animal testing in the cosmetic industry. In October 2018, she was part of a delegation that went to the United Nations in New York City to present a petition launched by The Body Shop to end cosmetic animal testing worldwide. [14]

Personal life

As of February 2013, Geldof lived in Upper Clapton with George Barnett, drummer of These New Puritans. [15] The couple married in June 2017 in Majorca. [16] They have one child, a daughter born in 2021. [17]

Geldof is a vegan [18] and advocates against animal testing. [18]

Band Aid II and Band Aid 20 were also Christmas number one. The original was produced by Ure. The 12" version was mixed by Trevor Horn.

Robert Frederick Zenon Geldof is an Irish singer-songwriter and political activist. He rose to prominence in the late 1970s as the lead singer of the Irish rock band the Boomtown Rats, who achieved popularity as part of the punk rock movement. The band had UK number one hits with his co-compositions "Rat Trap" and "I Don't Like Mondays". Geldof starred as Pink in Pink Floyd's 1982 film Pink Floyd – The Wall. Beauty Without Cruelty (BWC) was founded as an educational charitable trust in England in 1959 by Muriel, the Lady Dowding (1908–1993), past president of the National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS) and wife of Lord Dowding (1882–1970), the former commander-in-chief of RAF Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain. It investigated and exposed the brutality inflicted on animals in the fur and cosmetic trade and led the way in the commercial production of synthetic alternatives to fur and cosmetics, without the use of animal ingredients and not tested on animals, pioneering the cruelty-free movement. The initial fundamental purpose of the charitable trust was to demonstrate that alternatives to cruelly derived clothing and cosmetics were easily obtainable and, if they did not exist, to get them on the market. BWC spread the concept that one could easily look beautiful, without inflicting cruelty and death upon any creature.

Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof is an English-Australian singer-songwriter. She is the daughter of the Australian singer-songwriter from INXS, Michael Hutchence, and the British TV presenter Paula Yates. She was legally adopted and raised by her mother's former husband, Irish singer-songwriter and activist Bob Geldof of Irish punk band the Boomtown Rats, after both of her parents died when she was a young child. She is a singer-songwriter whose 2022 debut album Tragic Tiger's Sad Meltdown features songs written after the 2014 death of her half-sister Peaches Geldof. She recorded it in Australia and released it under the name Heavenly.
