The song went to number one in Canada as well, hitting the top of the RPM Top Singles Chart on January 24, 1976. "Convoy" also peaked at number two in the UK. "I'll Be Around" is the second single released from Rappin' 4-Tay's second album, Don't Fight the Feelin'. The song both sampled the music and retained the original chorus of The Spinners' song of the same name, though Rappin' 4-Tay replaced the song's original lyrics with his own. The Spinners were credited as featured artists and songwriters Thom Bell and Phil Hurtt were both given writing credits.
"Ain't No Playa " is the lead single released from Rappin' 4-Tay's third album, Off Parole. The song's instrumentation was written and performed by Shannon Lacy and produced by Stan "G-Man Stan" Keith and featured rapper/singer Passion performing the song's chorus, which reinterpreted The Four Tops 1973 hit "Ain't No Woman ".
