Plopp is a chocolate bar manufactured
by the Swedish company Cloetta (formerly part of Cloetta Fazer). Like Center, another Cloetta chocolate bar, it consists of milk chocolate with a soft caramel center, [1] but the formula, texture and aroma are not the same. [2] Over 95 percent of Plopp bars are sold in Sweden. [3]
Some English-speaking sources have criticized the name "Plopp" as being unappealing due to its use as a euphemism for human feces. [4] [5]
Plopp was created in 1949 as a small bar. A larger version was introduced in 1974, a stick version in 1992, and a roll version with individual pieces in 1995. Plopp Lakrits (liquorice) was released in the early 1980s to Sweden only, but in 1999 in celebration of the candy's 50th anniversary it became available worldwide. [3]
More recently several new flavors have been released: Plopp Currant in 2004, Plopp Caffe Latte in 2006, Plopp Tutti Frutti in 2008, and Plopp Saltlakrits (salty liquorice) in 2009. The candy also received a redesign in 2009. [3]

3 Musketeers is a candy bar made in the United States and Canada by Mars, Incorporated. It is a candy bar consisting of chocolate-covered, fluffy, whipped nougat. It is similar to the global Milky Way bar as well as the American version of the Milky Way bar. Introduced in 1932, the 3 Musketeers Bar was the third brand produced and manufactured by M&M/Mars. Originally, each bar contained three flavors—chocolate, strawberry and vanilla—hence the name, which was derived from the 1844 novel The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas. Rising costs and wartime restrictions on sugar saw the vanilla and strawberry pieces phased out, leaving only the more popular chocolate. The bars cost five cents when they were introduced, and they were marketed as one of the largest chocolate bars available.
Butterfinger is a candy bar manufactured by the Ferrara Candy Company, a subsidiary of Ferrero, Nestlé. It consists of a layered crisp peanut butter core covered in a "chocolatey" coating. It was invented by Otto Schnering of the Curtiss Candy Company in 1923. The name was chosen by a popularity contest.
