Podcast Inkubator is one of the most popular podcasts in Croatia and Southeast Europe. [1] It is hosted by several different contributors, mostly local journalists, while the podcast production is handled by the MiS Studio. [2]
Podcast Inkubator broadcast their first episode on YouTube in March 2017. The podcast began as a passion project of three journalists: Dea Radžić, Ratko Martinović and Marko Petrak. Since then, two more hosts have an various points hosted episodes, the rapper Slaven Berić, better known as Fil Tilen and Aida Šukurica, a journalist and radio host. [3]
By their first anniversary, they had amassed a total of 1,5 million views and 5,500 subscribers to their channel, and had hosted a number notable personalities, such as Mirko Cro Cop, Stipe Drews, Roberto Soldić and Vedran Bađun. [4]
In May 2019, they passed the milestone of 100 million total views, which made them the most listened to podcast in Croatian history. At that point, they had gained over 100,000 subscribes as well. [5]
The show currently has three regular hosts: Ratko Martnović [6] and Marko Petrak, [7] who are the co-founders of the podcast, and Milan Stjelja, who is a later addition.
Marko Petrak primarily hosts personalities from the sphere of combat sports and martial arts, most often boxers and mixed martial artists, such as Satoshi Ishii, Antonio Plazibat, Ivana Habazin, and so on. The themes discussed usually relate to the professional careers of the athletes, their latest fights, as well as their opinions on the recent happenings in the world of combat sports. [8] [9]
Ratko Martinović hosts people from various spheres of life, such as the e-sports player Luka Perković, the synth-pop band Svemirko or sportspeople such as Ivica Kostelić. [10]
Milan Stjelja hosts the "A1 Nogometni Podcast" which focuses exclusively on football in Croatia, the guests most often being Football players, managers, coaches, or journalists. [11]
Arsenije "Arsen" Dedić was a Croatian singer-songwriter. He wrote and performed chansons, as well as film music. He was also an award-winning poet, and was one of the best-selling poets of former Yugoslavia and Croatia.
Milan Bandić was a Croatian politician and the longest-serving mayor of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Bandić was mayor almost continuously from 2000 to 2021, except during the time between his resignation in 2002 and the 2005 election. He was also suspended from exercising his powers and duties for several months after his 2014 arrest over a corruption scandal. Out of Bandić's multifaceted engagement in politics, the most noted part was his mayoralty of Zagreb, which followed the Croatian Democratic Union's (HDZ) first post-socialist period of government (1990–2000), and exacerbated many existing transitional problems in the city.
Aleksandar "Aco" Petrović is a Croatian professional basketball coach and former player who is currently the head coach of the Croatia men's national team.
Presidential elections were held in Croatia on 28 December 2014 and 11 January 2015, the sixth such elections since independence in 1991. Only four candidates contested the elections, the lowest number since 1997. Incumbent President Ivo Josipović, who had been elected as the candidate of the Social Democratic Party in 2009–2010 but ran as an independent, was eligible to seek reelection for a second and final five-year term. As no candidate received 50% of the vote in the first round in December 2014, a run-off took place in January 2015 between the two candidates with the most votes; Josipović and Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović. Grabar-Kitarović went on to win the elections by a slim margin of 32,509 votes or 1.48%, making her Croatia's first female president.
Croatian Dawn – Party of the People was a minor Croatian conservative political party established in July 2013. Party's founder and leader was Milan Kujundžić.
Presidential elections were held in Croatia on 22 December 2019. Social Democratic Party nominee Zoran Milanović narrowly defeated incumbent president Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović in a second round of voting.

Joško Gvardiol is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League club Manchester City and the Croatia national team. Although primarily a centre-back, he has often played as a left-back. Considered one of the best defenders in the world, Gvardiol is known for his physicality, positioning and marking.

Jelena Pavičić Vukičević is a Croatian politician who served as president of the Bandić Milan 365 - Labour and Solidarity Party. She assumed the position following the death of the previous party president, Milan Bandić, on 28 February 2021. Pavičić Vukičević also assumed Bandić's role of the mayor of Zagreb, which she served until the 4 June 2021, following her loss at the 2021 Zagreb mayoral elections.
Elections were held in Zagreb on 16 May 2021 for the 53rd mayor of Zagreb, the two deputy mayors, the 47 members of the Zagreb Assembly, the councils of districts and the local committees, as part of the 2021 Croatian local elections. The runoff for the mayor took place on 30 May 2021.
On the night of 24–25 July 2020, after 21:00 local time, Zagreb, Croatia, was struck by a storm which produced one of the worst flash floods in the city's history. An episode of intense rainfall dumped more than 50 millimetres (2 in) of rain within two hours. The torrential streams of the mountain overlying Zagreb surged and overwhelmed the city's combined sewer system, causing flooding. The effects were worst felt in the inner city, notably Ilica, Donji grad and Trnje, though many suburbs were also affected, including Buzin, Črnomerec, Jankomir, and Maksimir. Public transport and automobile traffic ceased in many streets, while trapped people had to be rescued from flooded cars and apartments. A firefighter died at an intervention. No financial estimate of damages was released by the authorities. The city government reported receiving over 2,000 damage claims during an eight-day filing period.
