Marche, in English sometimes referred to as the Marches, is one of the twenty regions of Italy. The region is located in the central area of the country, and has a population of about 1.5 million people, being the thirteenth largest region in the country by number of inhabitants. The region's capital and largest city is Ancona.

The Alpe della Luna is a mountain massif in the northern Apennine Mountains of central Italy. It is situated across the boundaries of Tuscany, Marche, Umbria. It is part of Appennino tosco-romagnolo. Its highest peaks are the Monte dei Frati, at 1,453 m above sea level, and Monte Maggiore (1,384 m). The sources of the Metauro, Marecchia and Tiber River tributaries are located in the massif area.
The Furlo Pass is a gorge on the ancient Roman road Via Flaminia in the Marche region of central Italy, where it passes near the Candigliano river, a tributary of the Metauro.
The Ponte alla Carraia is a five-arched bridge spanning the River Arno and linking the district of Oltrarno to the rest of the city of Florence, Italy. To the west is a weir, the Pescaia di Santa Rosa, and the Ponte Amerigo Vespucci, and to the east is the Ponte Santa Trinita. The piazzas on either bank are the Piazza Nazario Sauro (south) and the Piazza Carlo Goldoni (north). At the northernmost column of the bridge a family of coypus live in a dam.
The Pont de Bonpas is a bridge over the Durance river, connecting the south of Vaucluse to the north of Bouches-du-Rhône in southern France. The initial stone bridge was constructed between 1189 and 1199, which was destroyed by a 1272 flood. Reconstruction was attempted in 1316 but ultimately failed, and a new bridge was not completed until 1812. This was later damaged by flood and a suspension bridge opened in 1894, but was destroyed in 1944. The current bridge was constructed in 1954 and is 500 metres (1,600 ft) long with twelve arches.

The Candigliano is a river in the Marche and Umbria regions of Italy. Its source is in the Appennino Umbro-Marchigiano mountains in the province of Pesaro e Urbino near the border with the province of Perugia. The river flows east and forms the border between Pesaro e Urbino and Perugia for a short distance south of Mercatello sul Metauro before entering Pesaro e Urbino. It then continues flowing east past an exclave called Monte Ruperto belonging to Città di Castello and then past Piobbico, where it is joined by the Biscubio. The river is joined by the Burano at Acqualagna and flows northeast near the Furlo Pass until it joins the Metauro west of Fossombrone.
The Biscubio is a river in the Umbria and Marche regions of Italy. Its source is in the province of Perugia near the border with the province of Pesaro e Urbino in the Appennino Umbro-Marchigiano mountains. The river flows northeast into Pesaro e Urbino south of Mercatello sul Metauro. It then flows east through the mountains near Apecchio and the exclave called Monte Ruperto belonging to Città di Castello until it joins the Candigliano near Piobbico.
San Filippo is a Baroque-style Roman Catholic former church, now deconsecrated, located Corso Garibaldi, near Porta Fano, in Fossombrone, region of Marche, Italy. The church was erected between 1608 and 1613; and dedicated to the patron saints of the town. It had been commissioned earlier to celebrate the birth of the ill-fated Federico Ubaldo, son and heir of the Duke Francesco Maria II Della Rovere. But it was ceded soon to the Order of the Oratory of Saint Philip Neri, although they did not have a formal charter in the town till 1620.

Colli all Metauro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pesaro e Urbino in the Italian region Marche. It was created on 1 January 2017 after the merger of the comuni of Montemaggiore al Metauro, Saltara and Serrungarina. The communal seat is at Calcinelli, its largest frazione.
