Porin Karhu Hockey Team, also known as Karhu HT (abbreviated KHT) was an ice hockey team in Pori, Finland.
Karhu HT's 2011–2012 season in the 2nd Division went well. KHT finished 1st in their division with 25 points and went to the Suomi-sarja qualification playoffs. [2] Karhu HT didn't succeed in getting promoted to Suomi-sarja though. [3]
Karhu HT got promoted to Suomi-sarja after the 2014–15 season. [4] [5]
In its first Suomi-sarja season, Karhu HT finished third in the regular season, but got swept by JHT Kalajoki in the first round of the playoffs. [6] Karhu HT's goalie, Niklas Lehti, had the second best save percentage in the league, of the players who played at least a third of the games.
Karhu HT finished fifth in the 2020–21 regular season. KHT beat Haukat in the finals after two games. This was Karhu HT's first Suomi-sarja championship. [7] Karhu HT's player budget was estimated to be 35 000€ by Satakunnan Kansa. [5]
In 2022, Karhu HT gave up their spot in Suomi-sarja after they had gotten 0 points in 13 games. [8] [9]

The current logo of Karhu HT was used from 2000 to 2007 and was taken into use again in 2019. Karhu HT also uses the logo of KK-V, since their hockey teams merged in 2018 when KK-V gave up their spot on the 2. divisioona.

Porin Ässät, officially named Hockey Club Ässät Pori and colloquially known as Pata, is a professional ice hockey club based in Pori, Finland. It competes in the SM-liiga, the highest-ranking league of ice hockey in Finland. Since 1971, Ässät has played its games in the Isomäki Ice Hall.
Hockey Club Kirkkonummen Salamat or HCK Salamat are a Finnish ice hockey team in the III-divisioona, the fifth-tier men's ice hockey league in Finland. They play in Kirkkonummi, a municipality in the western Greater Helsinki region, at Varuboden-areena. The club was founded in 2002 as HC Salamat and played in the Mestis during 2003 to 2008.
The Suomi-sarja is Finland's third-highest ice hockey league. Suomi-sarja has 14 teams. Suomi-sarja has been played since the 1999–2000 season. Prior to this, Finland's third league had been Division II since 1975 and before that the Provincial Series since 1947. During the 1990s the series also included an Estonian team. The series was played in two segments in the 2006–2007 season. During the 2007–2008 season there were four divisions. Teams playing in the Suomi-sarja can be relegated to the 2. Divisioona or promoted to Mestis.
The Jääurheiluseura Hawks, commonly known as the Haukat ('Hawks'), is a men's ice hockey team in the Suomi-sarja, the third-tier professional ice hockey league in Finland. The team is based in Järvenpää, in the Uusimaa region of southern Finland, and their home arena is the Järvenpää Ice Hall.
2. Divisioona or II-divisioona, also known as Rautaliiga, is the fourth-highest men's national ice hockey league in Finland, above 3. Divisioona and below the Suomi-sarja. The league is divided geographically into six divisions.
KeuPa HT are a semi-professional ice hockey team based in Keuruu, Finland. They are members of the second highest league in Finland, Mestis. The club was founded in 1995 in the Finnish fourth division II-Divisioona after the ice hockey club decided to part company with the Keuruu sports club. They play their home games in the Keuruu Ice Hall, which holds 1200 spectators. KeuPa are two time Suomi-sarja champions and one time Mestis champions.
Naisten Liiga, also called the Naisten SM-liiga (NSML) and Jääkiekon naisten SM-liiga, is the elite league for women's ice hockey in Finland. Founded by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association as the Naisten SM-sarja in 1982, it was so known until being rebranded as the Naisten Liiga in 2017. The league comprises approximately 250 players across ten teams.
Naisten Mestis is the second-highest women's ice hockey league in Finland. The league was founded as Naisten I-divisioona in 1985 by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association, when the number of teams playing in the Naisten SM-sarja was limited. It was renamed Naisten Mestis prior to the 2012–13 season.
Vaasan Sport Naiset were a women's ice hockey team in Finland. They played in Vaasa, on the west coast of Finland, at the Vaasan Sähkö Areena. Founded in 1983, the team most recently played in the Naisten Liiga from the 2018–19 season until being relegated at the conclusion of the 2021–22 season. The team was dissolved following relegation.
Matilda Nilsson is a Finnish ice hockey player, currently playing in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with Frölunda HC Dam. As a member of the Finnish national ice hockey team, she won a bronze medal at the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship.
The Katja Riipi Award is an ice hockey trophy, seasonally awarded by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association to the best forward of the Naisten Liiga, previously the Naisten SM-sarja. Best forward in the Naisten Liiga was first awarded in the 2005–06 season, to Saara Niemi (née Tuominen). The award was named in honor of Katja Riipi during the 2010–11 season.
The Emma Laaksonen Award is an ice hockey trophy awarded by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association to the fair play player of the year of the Naisten Liiga, called the Naisten SM-sarja until 2017. The award recognizes a player who best contributes to the scoring of their team while "playing fair," that is to say, while incurring very few penalties. Winners typically exceed one point per game and are issued fewer than ten penalty minutes (PIM) over a full season. It is named after defenceman Emma Terho, former captain of the Finnish women's national ice hockey team and general manager of Kiekko-Espoo Naiset. Despite being named after a defenceman, it has only ever been awarded to forwards.
Katri Javanainen is a Finnish retired ice hockey player. As a member of the Finnish national ice hockey team, she won European Championship gold medals in 1989 and 1991 and a bronze medal at the 1990 IIHF Women's World Championship.
The Naisten Suomi-sarja, distinguished as the Jääkiekon naisten Suomi-sarja, is the third-tier women's ice hockey league in Finland. It was established by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association in 2003 and is the lowest tier of national ice hockey competition, below the premier Naisten Liiga and secondary Naisten Mestis, but above regional leagues.
Patrik Juhola is a Finnish ice hockey player who is currently under a contract with Porin Ässät of the Liiga, but on a season loan at Imatran Ketterä, his contract with Ässät ends after the 2024–25 season. Juhola was selected as the best player of the month in the U20 SM-sarja in the 2021–22 season when he put up 39 points in 40 games as a 17 year old. Juhola has played 3 WJC games putting up one point.
