The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport is the senior minister at the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport in the Government of Ireland.

Tees and Hartlepool Harbour Police is a small, specialised police force responsible for policing Teesport, which is the UK's third largest port and is owned by PD Ports, situated along the south bank of the River Tees in north east England. Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) is a Queensland government agency of the Department of Transport and Main Roads. The agency is responsible for the safety of all water vessels in Queensland waterways. It deals with marine pollution and provides pilotage for Queensland ports. Captain Ibrahim Adeboyega Olugbade is a Master Mariner who currently occupies the position of the Alternate Permanent Representative to the ""International Maritime Organization"" (IMO). He worked in the Nigerian-based ""Nigerian Ports Authority"". (NPA) in his Early life before he was transferred to the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), where he worked for several years. Until his employment at Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Ibrahim was an Assistant General Manager, Marine, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), a position in which he was in charge of all marine-related issues in the PA Eastern Pilotage District. He qualified as a master mariner in Australia in 1992. He holds various professional and academic qualifications from Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport in Egypt; the Australian Maritime College, Launceston, Tasmania, Australia; Rivers State University of Science and Technology; and Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Oron, Akwa-Ibom State. Olugbade belongs to several professional bodies. He is a member of the International Federation of Shipmasters' Associations (IFSMA), London, England, and a fellow of both the Nautical Institute of Technology and Institute of Shipping Technology Nigeria. He is currently based in London, United Kingdom.

The Marine Navigation Act 2013 is an Act of Parliament that amends various existing legislation, in particular relating to pilotage and the powers of harbour authorities, ports police, and the General Lighthouse Authorities.
The Canada Marine Act, passed in 1998 under the stewardship of David Collenette, Minister of Transport, was an act intended to modernize Canada's most important ports, and make "the system of Canadian ports competitive, efficient and commercially oriented, providing for the establishing of port authorities and the divesting of certain harbours and ports, for the commercialization of the St. Lawrence Seaway and ferry services and other matters related to maritime trade and transport and amending the Pilotage Act and amending and repealing other Acts as a consequence."
Competent harbour authorities (CHA) in the United Kingdom are those harbour authorities that have been given statutory powers relating to the provision of pilotage in their waters. The description was created by the Pilotage Act 1987, at which point a CHA had to be one whose harbour was wholly or partly within a pilotage district where at least one act of pilotage had been performed, or where a pilotage exemption certificate had been in force, between 1984 and 1987. However, the act provided a procedure by which other harbour authorities could be assigned CHA status and some harbours have taken advantage of this process. The Marine Navigation Act 2013 amended the Pilotage Act to provide a reverse process, so that harbour authorities could be relieved of CHA status.
Winninowie Conservation Park is a protected area in the Australian state of South Australia located on the east coast of Upper Spencer Gulf about 20 kilometres south by east of Port Augusta and 25 kilometres northwest of Port Germein, in the locality of Miranda. The conservation park was proclaimed in 1990 for the purpose of conserving ‘excellent examples of several coastal and marine ecosystems with sub-tropical affiliations in a temperate environment’ including ‘significant stands of the grey mangrove, Avicennia marina var. resinifera, seagrass and samphire salt marsh communities’. The conservation park's boundaries overlap with those of the Yatala Harbour Upper Spencer Gulf Aquatic Reserve. The conservation park is classified as an IUCN Category Ia protected area.
The Environment (Wales) Act 2016 is legislation introduced by the National Assembly for Wales which came into force on 21 March 2016. It put into place the necessary legislation to enable the planning and management of the natural resources of Wales in a more sustainable, pro-active and joined-up way than was previously possible.
