The Portland Pilots women's soccer team represents the University of Portland in National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I women's soccer. The team competes in the West Coast Conference and is currently coached by Michelle French. The Pilots won national championships in 2002 and 2005.

Clive Michael Charles was an English football player, coach and television announcer. He was one of five National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) coaches to win more than 400 games.

Christine Margaret Sinclair is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a forward and captains both National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) club Portland Thorns FC and the Canadian national team. An Olympic gold medalist, two-time Olympic bronze medalist, CONCACAF champion, and 14-time winner of the Canada Soccer Player of the Year award, Sinclair is the world's all-time leader for international goals scored for men or women with 190 goals, and is one of the most-capped active international footballers with more than 300 caps. Stephanie Renee Cox is an American soccer coach and former professional player who played as a defender. She is currently the interim head coach of the Puget Sound Loggers women's soccer team.
Garrett Smith is an American former soccer defender who played professionally in the Western Soccer League, American Professional Soccer League, Major Indoor Soccer League and Continental Indoor Soccer League. Since 1992, he has served as an assistant coach with the University of Portland's men's and women's soccer teams. In 2003, he became the head coach of the women's team, winning the 2005 National Championship. He was 2007 NCAA Coach of the Year.

Merlo Field at the Clive Charles Soccer Complex is a 4,892-capacity soccer-specific stadium in Portland, Oregon on the campus of the University of Portland where it serves as home to the school's soccer teams. From March 29, 2015 until the end of 2016, the stadium played host to the Portland Timbers' USL side Portland Timbers 2.

Rhian Emilie Wilkinson is a Canadian professional soccer coach and former player, currently serving as head coach of Portland Thorns FC in the National Women's Soccer League. During her playing career, she made over 180 appearances for the Canadian national team, with whom she won an Olympic bronze medal at London 2012 and Rio 2016. She played as a forward and midfielder, but was primarily an offensively-minded right fullback who carried the ball forward and made crosses in the attacking zone.
Sophie Diana Schmidt is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for National Women's Soccer League club Houston Dash and the Canadian national team, with whom she won an Olympic gold medal in 2020 and bronze in both 2012 and 2016. She previously played her club soccer for German club FFC Frankfurt and Sky Blue FC in the NWSL.
