Portrait of Paulette Jourdain is a 1919 oil painting by Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani. [1] It was in the personal collection of A. Alfred Taubman. [1] The painting was sold at auction by Sotheby's in November 2015 for $42.8 million. [2] The painting depicts Pauline Jourdain, who moved from Concarneau in Brittany to Paris in 1919 as a teenager. [3] One of Modigliani's largest works, it shows Cubist influences and references the Mona Lisa . [4]

Nu couché is a 1917 painting by Amedeo Modigliani. The painting was included in a 2017/2018 Tate Modern exhibition of Modigliani's works. The painting was sold by auction by Sotheby's in April 2018. Writing in The Guardian, British arts journalist Jonathan Jones compared it to Ingres' 1814 work Grande Odalisque.
