PostNord Logistics is a logistics company in the Nordics. The business has its roots in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The business was formed through the mergers of the Danish and Swedish postal operators and private sector companies. [1] PostNord Logistics is one of four PostNord Group companies. In 2013 the group's logistics operations, formerly consisting of 16 Nordic region companies, were gathered under a common brand – PostNord Logistics. [2]

PostNord Logistics has terminals in Germany as well as 5,000 service points and 120 terminals throughout the Nordic region. The business has 8,000 employees, including 4,550 drivers. A total volume of 500,000 parcels and 60,000 pallets of goods are transported every day. [3]

PostNord Logistics has sales of SEK 16,000m (2013). The CEO of PostNord is Håkan Ericsson and the Chairman is Jens Moberg. [4]

Nordstan is a shopping centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is the largest shopping centre in Sweden in terms of revenue, and with approximately 180 shops and 150 offices. The shopping centre's total area is about 320,000 m2 (3,400,000 sq ft) divided into nine interconnected buildings, where retail and restaurant floor space makes up around 70,000 m2 (750,000 sq ft). The covered streets and squares comprise 8,000 m2 (86,000 sq ft). The companies housed in Nordstan employ approximately six thousand people and the total annual turnover was SEK 4.1 billion in 2013. The main passageways in the centre are public spaces and therefore are open for use after shops have closed. The character of the centre changes after closing time of the shops. The presence of adults is drastically reduced and the premises become a hangout for youth.

PostNord Sverige is the name of the Swedish postal service. In 2009 Posten merged with its Danish equivalent, Post Danmark A/S, forming PostNord AB, a holding company that is jointly owned by the Swedish (60%) and Danish (40%) governments. A rebranding to PostNord for both the mail and logistics divisions was performed in 2015.

Posten Norge is the name of the Norwegian postal service. The company, owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications had a monopoly until 2016 on distribution of letters weighing less than 50g throughout the country. There are 30 post offices in Norway, in addition to 1400 outlets in retail stores.

Post Danmark A/S is the national provider of postal services in Denmark. It was established as a fully state-owned stock holder's company in 1995 following political liberalization efforts. Post Danmark had taken over the mail delivery concession of its predecessor, the governmental department Postvæsenet, which was established in 1624. Post Danmark A/S was turned into a public limited company in 2002. In 2005, 22% of the company shares were sold to CVC Capital Partners, 3.5% of the company shares were partly sold to employees at a discount, partly kept in reserve for a management incentives program. In 2009, it was merged with the Swedish Posten AB to form PostNord, a joint postal service company between Denmark and Sweden.

Nor-Cargo AS is a Norwegian cargo transport and logistics company and subsidiary of Posten Norge, the Norwegian Postal Service. It operates road, water and air transport. The company operates through 32 Terminals with 1,000 long-distance and 600 distribution trucks. In addition, the division Nor-Cargo Thermo operates 500 temperature-controlled trucks.

RIFA AB was a Swedish electronics manufacturer of resistors and capacitors, which was established in 1942. During World War II, RIFA manufactured parts for the Swedish radio industry. In 1947, it became incorporated into Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson. Later, in 1988, it became Ericsson Components, followed by Ericsson Microelectronics in 2000. The company made hybrid components for telephone exchanges for the joint venture company Ellemtel between Ericsson and Televerket.

time:matters is a German company specializing in urgent transports and time-critical international shipping. The company is owned by Lufthansa Cargo. Due to exclusive cooperation agreements, time:matters has access to the Lufthansa Group network. The company also has access to the Intercity-Express high-speed railway services of Deutsche Bahn. Ericsson Radio Systems AB was the name of a wholly owned subsidiary in the Ericsson sphere, founded January 1, 1983 by buying out all former owners of Svenska Radioaktiebolaget (SRA). The company was well known in Scandinavia and elsewhere in the 1980s, as it was deploying NMT systems and developing a line of mobile telephones under the brand name Hotline. In 2002 the subsidiary changed its name to simply Ericsson AB and absorbed 19 other legal entities in the Ericsson sphere, but kept its company registration number with the Swedish state, so it is still the same legal entity as Ericsson Radio Systems. The merge of the smaller legal entities was done to cut down operating costs. The main activity within Ericsson AB is infrastructure for mobile telephony.
