The Telugu Desam Party is an Indian regional political party primarily active in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was founded by Telugu matinée idol N. T. Rama Rao (NTR) on 29 March 1982 and has focused on supporting Telugu people. The party has won a five-time majority in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and has emerged as the most successful political outfit in the state's history. It is currently the ruling party in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

During 2014-2023 under BRS regime Khammam got a major changeover,roads expansion,Medical College,Engineering College,ITHub.
Karimnagar is a city and District Headquarters in the Indian state of Telangana. Karimnagar is a major urban agglomeration in the state. It is third largest City in the state and Municipal Corporation and is the headquarters of the Karimnagar district. It is situated on the banks of Manair River,which is a tributary of the Godavari River. It is the third largest and fastest growing urban settlement in the state,according to the 2011 census. Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy,popularly known as YSR,was an Indian politician. He served as the 14th chief minister of Andhra Pradesh from 2004 to 2009. Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is a masonry dam across the Krishna River at Nagarjuna Sagar which straddles the border between Palnadu district in Andhra Pradesh and Nalgonda district in Telangana. The dam provides irrigation water to the districts of Krishna,Guntur,Palnadu,Prakasam and parts of West Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh and also Nalgonda,Suryapet,Khammam,Bhadradri Kothagudem districts of Telangana. The Singareni Collieries Company Limited or SCCL is a government-owned-coal mining corporation in India. It is under the ownership of Department of Energy,Government of Telangana. The Union Government's administration of the company is through the 49% ownership held by Ministry of Coal. SCCL is currently operating 40 mines where 18 opencast and 22 underground mines in 6 districts of Telangana with a manpower around 39,856 as of November 2023. SCCL is contributing 9.2% in the all India Domestic Production. Since inception (1889) 1.36 BT of Coal is extracted by SCCL and it has proved reserves of 10.84 BT.

Kailasa Venkata Ramiah was an educationist from Andhra Pradesh,India. He was born in Pegallapadu village of Khammam district. He stood first-in-first in both B.Sc and M.Sc from Osmania University and grew to head the Physics Department of Osmania University. He is recipient of the Sir Akbar Hyderi Gold medal and several awards during his career both as student and later as an academician. He finished his PhD in record time and later his research was in quantum mechanics and Raman effect. He published about 100 papers in both national and international journals. He served to become the first Vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya University (1976–79). He founded the University from its inception. It was his vision and efforts that led to the development of Kakatiya University in a short period of time.
Chukka Ramaiah is an Indian educationist. He is known as "IIT Ramaiah" for teaching at IIT Study Circle,an IIT JEE coaching centre at Nallakunta,Hyderabad. He was a leading Telangana activist.
Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is an Indian politician currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana. He represents Madhira constituency in the Telangana Legislative assembly. He previously served as the Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Assembly. He was elected as the Member of Legislative Assembly in 2009 and 2014 elections. He was the Chief Whip for Government of Andhra Pradesh from 2009 to 2011 and also served as the Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 2011 to 2014. He is a member of the Indian National Congress party.
Jupudi Prabhakara Rao is an Indian politician chairman for Andhra Pradesh Scheduled Caste Co-Operative Finance Corporation Ltd and an Ex MLC in United Andhra Pradesh. He belongs to YSR Congress Party.

Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Project is an under-construction barrage across Godavari River with run-of-river hydroelectric power project at Dummugudem village,Bhadradri Kothagudem district in Telangana. The project is proposed at about 200 meters downstream of the existing Dummugudem anicut built about 150 years ago.
Vijayawada–Hyderabad Expressway is a 247 km long,4/6 lane wide tolled expressway that connects Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh with Hyderabad in Telangana. It was opened for public in October 2012. The project was undertaken by concessionaire GMR Hyderabad Vijayawada Expressways Private Limited,a subsidiary of GMR Group on a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) basis. It is one of the busiest expressways in India and is a part of National Highway 65,which connects Machilipatnam to Pune.
