The 2014 Pradhana Vizha is a television award ceremony held in Singapore by Vasantham TV. [1] The 14th edition of Vasantham's prestigious Awards extravaganza, Pradhana Vizha saw a total of 27 awards being given out to the best in the local Indian television industry in Singapore. The Lifetime Achievement Award were awarded to Manimaran Thorasamy. [2] [3]

Shabir Sulthan Musical artist

Shabir Sulthan is a Singaporean singer-songwriter, record producer, music composer, and performer whose works are predominantly in Tamil. He is the winner of the inaugural singing competition Vasantham Star 2005. The talent quest was hosted by MediaCorp Vasantham TV Channel. Shabir's Yaayum song from the film Sagaa became a sleeper hit in India and all around the world. After being part of the 2007 National Day Parade, Shabir felt that there was a lack of Tamil songs representing the community. He wrote and composed "Singai Naadu", the National Day Parade Tamil song in 2012. The song won praise from the Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong. Shabir was awarded the Singapore Youth Award, the national honour given to young achievers by the Singapore government. His diverse portfolio extends to starring in several TV series’ by Eaglevision Mediacorp and Wei Yu Films. Shabir played the lead role as the anti-hero, Nantha, in Vettai, which translates to "The Hunt", first premiered in 2010 and immediately garnered support with a viewership spread across Singapore and Malaysia. Shabir won Best Actor in the Pradhana Vizha Awards 2011 for this role. Shabir also played Vettaiyan in Naam 2 a sequel to the hit series, Naam, and a former war hero Major Habibullah Khan in a period drama This Land Is Mine. The latter brought him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor Nominated at the Asian Television Awards.

Jaya Rathakrishnan is a Singaporean bilingual screenwriter, lyricist and film director. Jaya started working as a screenwriter in 2001. She started working as creative director for Stardust Story. Since then she has written award-winning Tamil television dramas such as Vettai and Vyjayanthi under Vasantham, a Singaporean free-to-air television channel that is owned by Mediacorp. Most recently Janani D/O Madhavan Season 2, bagged her the “Best Children Series” Award in Pradhana Vizha 2018.

He was a former radio jockey in the Singaporean Tamil radio station Oli 96.8FM.

Udaya Soundari, is a Singaporean Indian actress and television presenter. She has appeared in films such as Parandhu Sella Vaa (2016) and A Yellow Bird (2016). She is also the first person in Singapore to win three awards in one year at the Pradhana Vizha festival.
