Pragatisheel Manav Samaj Party (PMSP) is a political party in Uttar Pradesh, India. PMSP is based amongst the Bind and Mallah communities. The mafia don Brijesh Singh contested the 2012 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on its ticket, from the Sayyadraja constituency. [1]

A political party is an organized group of people, often with common views, who come together to contest elections and hold power in the government. The party agrees on some proposed policies and programmes, with a view to promoting the collective good or furthering their supporters' interests.

He won from the Mau seat in the Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly election, 2012. He merged Quami Ekta Dal with BSP in 2017, and won the state elections as a BSP candidate.

Mulayam Singh Yadav Indian politician and former chief minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh

Mulayam Singh Yadav is an Indian politician from Uttar Pradesh and the founder of the Samajwadi Party. He served for three non-consecutive terms as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh from 1989 to 1991, 1993 to 1995, and 2003 to 2007 respectively and also served as the Minister of Defence of India from 1996 to 1998 in the United Front government. He currently serves as the Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Azamgarh.

He represents the Deoband, constituency of Uttar Pradesh and is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party. He is considered to be an young, honest and aggressive politician in the state and one of the favourites among BJP top brass in Western Uttar Pradesh.

Vijay Kumar Mishra is an Indian politician who, as of 2017, represents the Gyanpur constituency in the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. As a member of the NISHAD Party, he won the seat in the 2017 state assembly elections. In March 2018, he was expelled from that party, despite being its only Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), when he supported a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in elections to the Rajya Sabha. The party allied with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and had ordered him to support the BSP candidate, Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
