With help of Parashurama and Brihaspati the idol was installed in divine land created by Parasurama by his axe. Bhargava Kshetra, modern day Kerala. N. P. Chellappan Nair was a playwright and short story writer from Kerala, India. He concentrated on social comedy of manners. Of his 200 stories, thirty-one have been published in a separate volume. He received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Drama in 1961 for the play Iblisukalude Naattil.

Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award is an award given by the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, an autonomous organisation for the encouragement, preservation, and documentation of the performing arts of Kerala, set up by the Department of Cultural Affairs of the Government of Kerala. Instituted in 1962, the awards are given in the categories of music, dance, theatre, other traditional arts, and for contribution/scholarship in performing arts. The award consists of Rs. 30,000, a citation and a plaque. The recipients of the award are also conferred the title Kalasree.
Mangat Mulaykkal Thankamani, known by her married name Thankamani Gopinath was a prominent Indian Mohiniyattam dancer and dance teacher from Kerala. The wife and co-dancer of Guru Gopinath, she was the first student of Mohiniyattam from Kalamandalam. Thankamani is considered as one of the important icons in the history of women's progress in Kerala, who learned Mohiniyattam at a time when learning and performing dance was considered unethical for girls in Kerala. She has also starred and sung a song in the 1941 Malayalam movie Prahlada.
