Pranali Rathod (born 15 October 1999) is an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi television. Rathod is best known for her portrayal of Akshara Goenka in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai . [1] [2]

Early life

While some sources claim Rathod to be 27 years old, [3] she was born on 15 October 1999, [4] having since revealed she was 24 years old in 2023. [5] [6] She was brought up in Maharashtra. [7]

Career

Rathod made her acting debut in 2018 with Pyaar Pehli Baar. She portrayed Saanvi in the show's first episode. [8]

In 2019, she portrayed Suman Pandey in Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki opposite Kinshuk Vaidya. It marked her fiction debut. [7]

She then portrayed Saudamini Bhaumik Greenwood in Barrister Babu in 2020, opposite Pravisht Mishra and Jason Shah. [9]

In 2021, she portrayed Radha Sahani in Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye opposite Yash Tonk. [10] In the same year, she made her web debut with Chutzpah , where she portrayed Richa. [11]

From 2021 to 2023, Rathod portrayed Akshara Goenka in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai opposite Harshad Chopda and Jay Soni. The show proved as a major turning point in her career. [12] [13] She received the ITA Award for Best Actress Popular for her performance. [14]

In 2022, Rathod reprised Akshara Goenka in the game show Ravivaar With Star Parivaar . [15]
