Preap Sovath (Khmer : ព្រាប សុវត្ថិ [priəpsoʋat] ; born 25 January 1975) is a Cambodian Top singer, actor and brand ambassador. He began his singing career in the early 1990s. He also appeared in Cambodian movies such as The Crocodile . [1] He was also an audition judge for the first season of Cambodian Idol , first season of Cambodia's Got Talent , as well as The Voice Kid Cambodia. In 2022, he received the royal title of Okhna. [2]
Oknha Preap Sovath's career as a singer started in the 1990s when he joined the army and became a political commissar.[ citation needed ] He worked during the daytime and sang at restaurants or bars at nighttime. He sang with Touch Sunnix for a year, from 1995 to 1996, and released his first song.[ citation needed ]
He represented Cambodia in the 2014 World Music Awards and was nominated.[ citation needed ]
Contracting with Rasmey Hang Meas Production since 1994,Oknha Preap Sovath joined Galaxy Navatra in 2020 with the hope to promote Khmer Music and artists to the international stage.[ citation needed ]
Oknha Preap Sovath took part in the MTV EXIT Concert in Phnom Penh on December 12, 2008.[ citation needed ] The concert was part of a campaign to raise awareness to end exploitation and human trafficking in Asia.[ citation needed ]
Oknha Preap Sovath has performed at the Best of the Best: Live Concert, a concert which has taken place annually since 2004 at Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium and has included performances by Cambodian singers from Raksmey Hang Meas and more. The concert is free to the public; DVD sales cover the costs. He also performed at Best of the Best 2012 on February 14, 2012 at Koh Pich's Concert Hall.[ citation needed ]

Phnom Penh is the capital and most populous city of Cambodia. It has been the national capital since the French protectorate of Cambodia and has grown to become the nation's primate city and its economic, industrial, and cultural centre. Before Phnom Penh became capital city, Oudong was the capital of the country.
The music of Cambodia is derived from a mesh of cultural traditions dating back to the ancient Khmer Empire, India, China and the original indigenous tribes living in the area before the arrival of Indian and Chinese travelers. With the rapid Westernization of popular music, Cambodian music has incorporated elements from music around the world through globalization.
Sinn Sisamouth was a Cambodian singer-songwriter active from the 1950s to the 1970s. Widely considered the "King of Khmer Music", Sisamouth, along with Ros Serey Sothea, Pen Ran, Mao Sareth, and other Cambodian artists, was part of a thriving pop music scene in Phnom Penh that blended elements of Khmer traditional music with the sounds of rhythm and blues and rock and roll to develop a Cambodian rock sound. Sisamouth died during the Khmer Rouge regime under circumstances that are unclear.
Eh Phouthong, also spelled Ei Phouthang and Eh Phuthong is a retired Cambodian professional kickboxer, Kun Khmer fighter, former reality TV host and currently a coach. Eh Phouthong was known for his powerful right kick which shattered many arms, he is considered a legend in Kun Khmer He is the most famous kickboxer from Cambodia. The AFP described Eh Phouthong as "Cambodia's Muhammad Ali". Eh Phouthong is the trainer of Cambodian champion, Thoeun Theara.

The Crocodile is a 2005 Cambodian horror-action film written and directed by Mao Ayuth. First released in July 2005, it has been periodically re-released in Cambodian cinemas since July 2007, and remains unreleased on DVD or digitally.
Pisith Pilika, was a Cambodian ballet dancer and actress. Born Oak Eap Pili, Pilika appeared in hundreds of films and thousands of karaoke videos from the 1980s through the 1990s. Her career was brought to a premature end when she was murdered in broad daylight at O'Russey Market in Phnom Penh. Though the crime amounted to one of the most high-profile killings in Cambodia's recent history, no suspects have ever been identified or arrested.

Kong Bunchhoeun was a Khmer writer, novelist, songwriter, filmmaker, painter, and poet. Bunchhoeun composed more than 200 songs between the 1960s and the 1970s and contributed to “Golden Age” of films and songs in Cambodia. He composed a number of hit songs for Cambodia's greatest singer of all time, Sinn Sisamouth and the contemporary vocalist and singer Preap Sovath. Thoeun Theara, is a Cambodian Kun Khmer fighter and kickboxer. In 2022, he rose to fame after becoming the first Cambodian boxer to win a title at a Thai Fight event when he won the Thai Fight Kard Chuek 72.5 kg King's Cup Championship by technical knockout against Thai star Saiyok Pumpanmuang in Thailand. After defeating Saiyok Pumpanmuang and Beckham Banchamek, the World Muaythai Organization (WMO) ranked Theara #1 in the world Muaythai middleweight rankings (72.5 kg) category. Theara is considered one of the most successful fighters in Kun Khmer.
