Preetha Vijayakumar is an Indian former actress was predominantly acted in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. After her marriage to film director Hari, she retired from the film industry in 2002.

Career

Preetha had first signed up to portray the leading role in Ravi Raja Pinisetty's Telugu film Rukmini opposite Vineeth in 1997, and she made her Tamil film debut with Sandhippoma in 1998. [1] She is noted for her role in the movie Padayappa as Rajinikanth's daughter.

She was born as second child to actor Vijayakumar and actress Manjula. She married director Hari in 2002 and has three sons. [2]

Sandhippoma is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Indrakumar. The film stars Suriya and Preetha Vijayakumar, while Radhika, Prakash Raj, Sarath Babu and Ambika also play significant roles. This film marks Suriya's first solo lead role in a film and Preetha's Tamil film debut. Deva composed the film's soundtrack while Rathnavelu handled the camera work. The film released on 9 July 1998.
