Ghana, officially the Republic of Ghana, is a country in West Africa. It spans along the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean, sharing borders with the Ivory Coast in the west, Burkina Faso in the north, Togo in the east, the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean in the south. Ghana covers an area of 238,535 km2 (92,099 sq mi), with a population of 31 million. It is the second-most populous country in West Africa, after Nigeria; and Accra is its capital and largest city.
The University of Ghana is the oldest and largest of the thirteen Ghanaian national public universities. It was founded in 1948, in the British colony of the Gold Coast, as the University College of the Gold Coast, and was originally an affiliate college of the University of London, which supervised its academic programs and awarded degrees. After independence in 1957, the college was renamed the University College of Ghana. It changed its name again to the University of Ghana in 1961, when it gained full university status. The University of Ghana is situated on the West view of the Accra Legon hills and at the northeast of the centre of Accra, now has various schools, institutions, colleges and departments and has over 40,000 registered students.
Hiplife is a Ghanaian musical style that fuses Ghanaian culture and hip hop. Recorded predominantly in the Ghanaian Akan language, hiplife is rapidly gaining popularity in the 2010s throughout West Africa and abroad, especially in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Germany.
Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, commonly referred to as Hearts of Oak or just Hearts is a professional sports club based in Accra, Ghana. The club competes in the Ghana Premier League, the Premier division on the Ghanaian football pyramid. The Ohene Djan Sports Stadium is their home grounds where they play their home games. Hearts has won the Premier League twenty times, the FA cup a record ten times, the President's Cup twice, and the CAF African Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup each once. Hearts of Oak was also ranked 8th football club in the world in the year 2000 when the club dominated most of the continent sporting activities.

Buk Bak was a Ghanaian musical group composed of Prince Bright, Isaac Shoetan and Ronny Coaches. They rapped in Ga, Twi, and Pidgin, and were the first hiplife group in Ghana to be successful with Ga lyrics.
Charles Odamtten Easmon or C. O. Easmon, popularly known as Charlie Easmon, was a medical doctor and academic who became the first Ghanaian to formally qualify as a surgeon specialist and the first Dean of the University of Ghana Medical School. Easmon performed the first successful open-heart surgery in Ghana in 1964, and modern scholars credit him as the "Father of Cardiac Surgery in West Africa". Easmon was of Sierra Leone Creole, Ga-Dangme, African-American, Danish, and Irish ancestry and a member of the distinguished Easmon family, a Sierra Leone Creole medical dynasty of African-American descent.
Henry Romulus Sawyerr, was a Ghanaian politician and quantity surveyor. He was Minister for Transport and Communications during the third republic and Minister for Education at the beginning of the Fourth Republic of Ghana and the Member of Parliament for Osu-Klottey Constituency during the Second and Third republics.
Jeff Tennyson Quaye, professionally known by his stage name Jay Q, is a Ghanaian musician, record producer, record executive, sound engineer, songwriter and keyboardist. He is the founder and current CEO of Q-Lex Entertainment and Jay-Qlex Recording Studio. He has produced albums for and overseen the careers of many musicians, including Buk Bak, VIP, Castro, Mzbel, Obrafour, Daddy Lumba, Nana Acheampong, Ofori Amponsah, Akosua Agyapong, Obuoba J. A. Adofo, Wulomei, and others. As a producer Jay Q is credited as a key figure in the popularization of Hiplife, Highlife and Gospel. He introduced Jama (kpanlogo) into Hiplife, which became laudable and was accepted in Ghana, Africa and the rest of the World. In 2003, Jay Q won an award for Best Sound Engineer in Ghana.
4x4 is a Ghanaian hip hop musical group formed in 2000 by Captain Planet and Coded, formerly Abortion with the help of Ronnie Coches and Bright Bling Sparkles. They are reputed to have brought crunk to Ghana. In 2007, Captain Planet and Abortion were joined by a new artist named Fresh Prince.
Michael Owusu Addo known professionally as Sarkodie, is a Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur from Tema. His contributions to the Ghanaian music industry have earned him numerous accolades, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for "Artiste of the Decade". He was announced the first winner of BET's Best International Flow artist at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards. He is also considered one of the major proponents of the Azonto genre and dance and one of the most successful African rappers of all time.
Yvonne Nelson is a Ghanaian actress, model, film producer and entrepreneur. She has starred in several movies, including House of Gold (2013), Any Other Monday, In April, and Swings.
Ronnie Coaches, also known as Ronnie, was a Ghanaian-born musician and a member of the Buk Bak hiplife music group.
John Dumelo is a Ghanaian actor, farmer and politician. On 1 April 2014 he emerged as the first Ghanaian to hit a million likes on Facebook. His parents are Mr. John Dumelo who was a Civil Engineer and Mrs. Antoinette Dumelo a Customs Officer.
Chris Attoh is a Ghanaian actor, film director, on-air personality, television presenter and Producer. He is best known as "Kwame Mensah" in Nigerian soap opera Tinsel.
The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was established in 2000 by Mascot to celebrate Ghanaian musicians. The awards are presented annually, and are broadcast live on GH One. The awards ceremony features performances by artists. In 2020, the nominees jam which was scheduled for the 4th of April at the Koforidua Jackson Park was postponed. This was in compliance with the National Directives on Public Gathering due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He is a graduate of Business Management and has been a business entrepreneur for more than ten years. Mckorley was adjudged the Entrepreneur of the year - 2016 at the Ghana Aviation Awards.
Anna Nana Ama Dadzie is a veteran Ghanaian backing vocalist, composer and singer. In 2021, she was honored by the 3Music Awards Women’s Brunch for her contributions to Ghana music over the past decades.
