The Chicago Manual of Style is a style guide for American English published since 1906 by the University of Chicago Press. Its 18 editions have prescribed writing and citation styles widely used in publishing.

As of July 2024, there were about 135 editors making at least 5 edits a month. Around 750 articles are ranked as selected.

It publishes original research and review content in a wide range of physical scientific disciplines. Articles can be accessed online a few months prior to the printed journal. All articles become freely accessible two years after their publication date. The current editor-in-chief is John Dainton.

Virology is a peer-reviewed scientific journal in virology. Established in 1955 by George Hirst, Lindsay Black and Salvador Luria, it is the earliest English-only journal to specialize in the field. The journal covers basic research into viruses affecting animals, plants, bacteria and fungi, including their molecular biology, structure, assembly, pathogenesis, immunity, interactions with the host cell, evolution and ecology. Molecular aspects of control and prevention are also covered, as well as viral vectors and gene therapy, but clinical virology is excluded. As of 2013, the journal is published fortnightly by Elsevier.

The Croatian Publishing and Bibliographic Institute was a lexicographic institute in the Independent State of Croatia founded on August 9, 1941. Mate Ujević was its director. In 1944, Dragutin Tadijanović became the literary secretary of the institute. With the creation of communist Yugoslavia in 1945, the institute's work was stopped.

The Croatian Natural History Museum is the oldest and biggest natural history museum and the main body for natural history research, preservation and collection in Croatia. Located on Dimitrije Demeter Street in Gornji Grad, one of the oldest neighbourhoods of the Croatian capital Zagreb, it owns one of the biggest museum collections in Croatia, with over 2 million artefacts, including over 1.1 million animal specimens. It was founded in 1846 as the "National Museum". The National Museum was later split up into five museums, three of which were in 1986 merged as departments of the newly named Croatian Natural History Museum. The museum contains a large scientific library open to the public, and publishes the first Croatian natural history scientific journal, Natura Croatica.
Croatian History Museum is a museum of history located in the Vojković Palace on Antun Gustav Matoš Street in the historic Gornji Grad district of Zagreb, Croatia. The museum holdings consist of around 300,000 objects divided into 17 collections. In addition to a part of the Meštrović Pavilion, it also administers the Ivan Goran Kovačić Memorial Museum in Lukovdol.
Croatian Political Science Review is the oldest academic journal published by the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb in Croatia. It is one of the leading interdisciplinary social sciences journals in Croatia and in the countries of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Croatian Political Science Review is published quarterly in Croatian and an annual English edition has been published since 1992. The journal was established in 1964 and its articles are regularly available in Academic Search Complete, Political Science Complete, SocINDEX, Central and Eastern European Online Library, ProQuest, Directory of Open Access Journals, Portal of scientific journals of Croatia and other platforms.
