"Prisoner" is the second track and second single from 311's 1997 album Transistor . When being interviewed in 1999, SA Martinez stated that "Prisoner" is his favorite 311 song. [1] The song is about feeling trapped and someone not being themselves.
The music video shows a woman going inside a cold pool. With the lid to the pool closed, the band members are standing around in what looks like a basement, singing the song with various men in uniforms seen in the background. Clips of the woman in the pool is also occasionally seen. Later on, the band members are seen in that same pool. The music video for "Prisoner" was shot in Los Angeles, California. [2]

311 is an American rock band from Omaha, Nebraska. The band was formed in 1988 by vocalist and guitarist Nick Hexum, lead guitarist Jim Watson, bassist Aaron "P-Nut" Wills, and drummer Chad Sexton. Watson was replaced by Tim Mahoney in 1990. In 1992, Doug "SA" Martinez joined as a second vocalist and turntablist.
Transistor is the fourth studio album by American rock band 311, released on August 5, 1997, by Capricorn Records. The album saw a change in musical style as fewer songs feature rapping in comparison to the band's previous albums. Intended as a double album, 311 opted to release the album on a single CD in order to make it more affordable to their fans.

Breathe Carolina are an American electronic music duo from Denver, Colorado. The duo formed in 2007 consisting of David Schmitt and Kyle Even. They later expanded to a full band whose best-known lineup included Schmitt, Even, drummer Eric Armenta, keytarist Joshua Aragon and DJ Luis Bonet. In 2013, Even left the group, while Tommy Cooperman joined that year. Breathe Carolina is currently composed of Schmitt and Cooperman.

In 2015, Lucky Diaz and The Family Jam Band earned a Latin Grammy Award nomination for their children's album Adelante, which Eibach was an engineer on. Eibach contributed Billboard charting remixes for Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Mark Ronson, Camila Cabello, Jennifer Lopez among others. He is performing as the DJ on tour with David Longoria in support of Longoria's album The Journey and song We Are One. In 2019, The Lucky Band won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Children's Album with Buenos Diaz, which included Robert Eibach remixes. Eibach's first single as the main recording artist, Play With You, was released on August 21, 2020. Robert Eibach earned his first Grammy nomination as a member of Lucky Diaz and The Family Jam Band for their release Crayon Kids in the Best Children's Album category at the 64th Grammy Awards.
