Design and development

The aircraft was designed as a tandem glider for flight training and as such was referred to as the Pro-Design Carrier Bi, indicating "bi-place" or two seater. [1]

Tandem arrangement in which people, machines, or animals are in line behind one another facing forward

Tandem, or in tandem, is an arrangement in which a team of machines, animals or people are lined up one behind another, all facing in the same direction.
