Profane Omen is a Finnish groove metal band formed in 1999. They made two demos in 2000 (Profane Omen and Bittersweet Omen). Two other demos were recorded in 2001, Fuck the Beast and Load of Lead, and later they released an EP, Label of Black, which was their first official release. In early 2004 PO recorded a single, "Adrenaline/Enemies." They also made a music video for their song "Adrenaline."

In 2006 they released their first full-length, Beaten into Submission, which was generally embraced for its unique, aggressive sound and groovy riffs, combining elements of groove, thrash and melodic death metal. [ citation needed ]

In 2007 Profane Omen was voted as a "Newcomer of the year" at Finnish Metal Awards (FMA). [ citation needed ]

In 2007 they released an EP called Disconnected.

In March 2009, Profane Omen released their second studio album Inherit The Void. Inherit The Void was placed 8th of the Top 10 albums in Finland.

In November 2010 the band announced that Tomppa Saarenketo is no longer part of it. The reason for this is low motivation regarding the band. Antti Seroff replaced him in bass.

Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Kitee. The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, and former lead singer Tarja Turunen. Finntroll Finnish black metal band

Finntroll is a Finnish metal band from Helsinki that combines elements of black metal and folk metal. Finntroll's lyrics are mostly in Swedish, the only exception being the song "Madon Laulu" on Visor om slutet. Finntroll's original singer, Katla, decided to use Swedish over Finnish since he was part of a Swedish-speaking minority in Finland and the sound of the language seemed to better suit the band's "trollish" outfit. Despite several vocalist changes, this tradition has continued.

Dark Tranquillity is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg. They are considered one of the pioneering acts of the Gothenburg metal scene, which also includes bands such as In Flames and At the Gates. Dark Tranquillity is regarded as the Gothenburg fathers in the film entitled Out of Nothing: A DT Documentary released by Century Media, which was filmed in their home town in April 2009.

Moonsorrow Finnish pagan metal band

Moonsorrow is a Finnish pagan metal band formed in Helsinki in 1995. Musically, the band incorporates elements of black metal and folk metal in their sound. The band call their sound "epic heathen metal" and try to distance themselves from the term "Viking metal". They have distanced themselves from other folk metal bands, emphasising that their music is pagan and spiritual and is challenging for its listeners, rather than happy or danceable. The band members have varying levels of pagan belief but they draw on pagan spirituality for lyrics and inspiration.

Beherit is a black metal band from Finland. The band was formed in 1989 by Nuclear Holocausto, Black Jesus and Sodomatic Slaughter, with the purpose of performing "the most primitive, savage, hell-obsessed black metal imaginable". "Beherit" is the Syriac word for Satan. Through the uncommercial nature of their music, visuals, and live performances, the band quickly attracted a cult following. Besides the "raw" sound, the band's music is noted for its avant-garde side and emphasis on atmosphere. Beherit are now regarded as a pioneer in their genre.

Amoral (band) Finnish heavy metal band

Amoral was a Finnish heavy metal band from Helsinki, formed in 1997. They played technical, progressive, melodic, hard rock-oriented metal. The band's fourth album was an about-turn, replacing the dominance of quirky death metal with an exemplary display of riff-driven, heavy, yet melodic power groove and the occasional sing-along chorus. Amoral performed extensively in bars, clubs, festivals and other venues in Finland, Europe, Japan, China, Philippines and the US. The band split up in 2017 after 20 years together.

Beaten Into Submission is the debut album by Finnish metal band Profane Omen. It was recorded 27 January-12 February 2006 at Hideaway and Villvox Studios by Aleksanteri Kuosa and Ville Sorvali. Recording was assisted by Secret Agent and Star Super Force. The album was mixed at Villvox by Aleksanteri Kuosa and mastered at Finnvox Studios by Minerva Pappi. Ville Sorvali was the producer and the co-producer was Aleksanteri Kuosa. Songs "Adrenaline" and "Enemies" were co-produced by Panu Willman.

Inherit The Void is the second album by Finnish metal band Profane Omen. It was recorded in September–November 2008 at Petrax and Villvox Studios by Aleksanteri Kuosa. The album was mixed at Villvox by Aleksanteri Kuosa and Williami Kurki and it was mastered at the Cutting Room Studios by Björn Engelmann. Album was produced by Ville Sorvali and Profane Omen, except vocals were produced by Mikko Herranen

Jules Näveri Finnish singer

Jules Näveri is a Finnish singer who is known for his vast range of singing. He sings in bands called Profane Omen and Enemy of the Sun (band). He has also been a member of a Finnish band Misery Inc.
